From here you can wonder along to the Plymouth Hoe and Barbican and take in the breathtaking setting of the coastal city.
A fantastic restaurant based in the up can coming Millbay. If you're lucky, you might see the large continental ferries coming into the harbour.

One of the best restaurants in town, although tucked away and a bit of a hidden gem, great food and drinks and a great atmosphere, and all for great value for the quality! Don't be put off by the location as once you've found it this is a foodie's heaven!

About 1 hour drive from Plymouth, but well worth the visit, Eden Project makes a great day trip out for all the family. Its a unique wonder of the world and there is something for everyone. Very family friendly, great food, entertainment and in a stunning location suitable for all weathers.

Parks & Nature
One of the most beautiful Country estates to wonder round. Free entry tot he grounds with option house tours available to pay for. The best way to visit is to catch the Cremyll Ferry over the Tamar river for £1.50 each way. Alternatively its a 30min drive round via the Torpoint ferry. Great for a walk, picnic, and space for kids to run around. There is also a couple of cafes and a good pub near the ferry.

National Trust Property, with a stunning country house you can pay to tour round. Alternatively you can explore a lot of the grounds for free which makes a nice little walk if you want to get out of the city. Good for dogs and children and buggies too.

The closest beach to Plymouth, small but a lovely setting. You can also walk from here along the coastal path east or west to take in some of the stunning coastline.

As long as you don't go at high tide or bad weather, Whitsands Beach is truly a hidden gem. One of the largest beaches in the area with a long stretch of golden sand. Parking available at the top of the cliff and a bit of a walk down, so not suitable for those less mobile, but well worth the effort if you can make it!

Parking available at the top of the cliff and a bit of a walk down, so not suitable for those less mobile, but well worth the effort if you can make it!
