Independent - One of the first to descend on Marrickville, pioneering the craft brew scene, this is a must stop if you're brewery hopping. Batch offer a broad range of styles, with lip-puckering sours, hoppy ales and rich dark beers. Their American Pale Ale is a great benchmark for the style, and their sours hit the spot when the sun is at its brightest.

Central location, close to several others and worth a pop in to taste something you may never get to try again, if experimental beers aren't exactly up your alley.
