Everyone's favorite breakfast spot up the road in Nehalem. It's a beautiful drive with lovely outdoor garden seating. On beautiful busy weekends prepare to wait but usually not longer than 30 min. Call ahead if that's a concern. Fresh, scrumptious omelettes, scrambles, and sweets. Our faves are the green chili omelette, tofu scramble, fiesta potatoes, and waffles with fresh berries, whipped cream, and real maple syrup.

20 minutes up 101 in Manzanita, this places is worth the drive. Delicious farm to table menu with an emphasis on seafood and local produce. Pricier than our other recommendations but worth it for a wonderful meal. We just wish they hadn't moved from Rockaway up the road to Manzanita.

Pricier than our other recommendations but worth it for a wonderful meal. We just wish they hadn't moved from Rockaway up the road to Manzanita.

Outdoor Exploration
If you can pull yourself away from the beach (which I'll be honest is hard to do), there are some lovely places to explore in our gorgeous coastal forests and along the shore.
A beautiful boardwalk trial loops 1 mile through wetlands to the Big Tree, a massive cedar tree that is between 800-1200 years old. Keep an eye out for bald eagles!
