Hillside Cottage @ The Mettawee Retreat

The Hillside Cottage is a luxury cabin with views of the Mettawee River. Located on 26 acres on a back road, it is peaceful & private. Enjoy fishing, swimming, kayaking or relax on the deck. This riverside retreat includes a king bed, jacuzzi tub & a kitchenette. Sitting around the fire pit with dinner cooked on the grill is the perfect ending to a long hike. Whether it’s a quick get-away or an extended vacation, the Hillside Cottage is a simple solution from a complicated life.

The Swallows Nest in a wildlife preserve

NEW THIS YEAR: High speed internet, Heat pumps for heat and AC throughout the house, and a new refrigerator/ freezer Secluded and beautiful, at the end of a gravel dead end road, the Swallow’s Nest is part of our organic farm and wildlife refuge. You’ll find serenity here with huge open vistas. We are two miles from the town of Brandon. Brandon has restaurants, shops, art galleries and music venues. The Berghüttli: Glowing Swiss Hut in the Forest

The Berghüttli ("little mountain hut") is a Swiss-inspired hut and farm stay surrounded by National Forest in Goshen, VT (pop. 168). A completely private escape—no other structures in sight, just woods and quiet. Inside, a wall of windows brings the forest right up to you, while glowing maple plywood fills the space with warm light. High-speed fiber internet runs a reliable 300 Mbps. Situated on a quiet country road this adorable home on one wooded acre has lovely mountain views and a peaceful setting. Nearby you will find skiing, hiking trails and quaint Vermont towns with shops and restaurants. Manchester and Rutland are 30 min. drives, Dorset is just 20 min. Granville NY has a large grocery store and other shops and is only a 15 min. drive.

Enter into an open-concept dining area, kitchen, and living room with stylish mid-century malm fireplace. Take your rest in one of the three bedrooms or cozy up on the indoor floor hammock. Located 10 minutes from Okemo Mountain Resort and the town of Ludlow enjoy skiing, shopping, dining, and all that Vermont has to offer.

Bright, secluded, second floor one room suite with private bathroom overlooking Mill River and across a covered bridge. No neighbors visible, but near town. Fly fish in the back yard, sit around the firepit, enjoy fall foliage, and hike and ski. Swinging bridge and Appalachia long trail very nearby. Close to three ski resorts: Killington, Okemo, and Pico. Dogs are welcome and loved, with plenty of room to run. Comfortable queen-sized bed and couch.

Also, we have recently introduced a NO CLEANING FEE policy as our way of saying "Thank You" for respecting our property and guidelines.

Enjoy a stylish experience at this centrally-located place. This studio apartment is perfect for the solo traveller or couple. The queen bed is super comfy. Brand new and renovated throughout. The kitchen is stocked for basic cooking. I'll make sure there is always coffee and cream for you. Pets are welcome if they do not get up on the furniture. It's easy access to downtown Rutland to enjoy yoga studios, restaurants, and coffee shops.
