Interior cork flooring and walls, recycled timber, floor to ceiling windows, along with watercolour drawings, retro & modern furniture, and new appliances, give it a unique vibe. You will have all you need to hunker in for a cosy relaxed couple of days, or use as a base to explore Lyttelton, Christchurch, Diamond Harbour and Banks Peninsula. Sit back and enjoy, surrounded by a tranquil garden and views out over the working port.

THE BIRD'S NEST - Secluded getaway!

The Birds Nest is a secluded and boutique cabin nestled amongst the tree tops and away from other houses. This luxury hideaway provides the peace and quiet of nature, whilst maintaining close proximity to all that the city and suburbs has to offer. Some highlights include relaxing in our private hot tub watching the sun set, strolls along the banks of the Heathcote river, and afternoon gelato just around the corner. Arrive at the wonderful space we have created for a peaceful relaxing stay. Sit on the deck or in the spa and enjoy a gorgeous sunset with a glass of wine listening to the bird song. Just 15 minutes from chch airport, 5 minutes to local shops and restaurants, 20 minutes into the town Centre and just over an hour to the ski fields this rural cottage is central to all your needs. 5 minutes up the road is the National Equine Centre and Mcleans Island which has walks, bike tracks, Orana Zoo and multiple paint balling and other activities. Walking distance to local wineries. The cottage is separate to our house, which is set on approx 10 acres of land.
