Nearby historic LaHave ferry for a 20 minute drive to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 15 minutes to Nova Scotia’s best white sand beaches, Risser’s, Crescent, & Green Bay.

The house is perfect for a relaxing getaway: Lounge in bed under skylights or cozy up by the fire in our artist-appointed living room. You're steps from the delightful Ploughman's Lunch café and minutes drive from Risser's beach boardwalk or a hike at lovely Crescent beach. Experience cool ocean breezes and the fragrance of a glade of ferns from our peaceful retreat while you keep watch for visiting deer.

The new Ocean House at the Rose Bay Homestead is ideal for large groups who love nature and outdoor fun. The house and boathouse overlook Lower Rose Bay and private rocky beach from which to launch a canoe, kayak, or small trailered motor boat. It is close to three stellar beaches, the Rose Bay General Store, and Lunenburg. Enjoy the exploring the wilds of our forest, fields, and ocean while still being close to restaurants and shopping. Canoe and two kayaks can be rented for an extra fee.
