Design Cottage Close to Icelandic Countryside & Reykjavik

Step into one of the oldest homes in town, dating from 1884. Curated by the owners of the design studio Reykjavík Trading Co., The Garden Cottage has been completely remodeled to provide a unique feeling, with a lot of the furniture handmade or meticulously crafted and selected from their travels to California, Scandinavia & Mexico. The land behind The Garden Cottage is home to their designed greenhouse, communal garden, chickens and their most recent addition, The Shed which is their workshop / shop where you can visit for a coffee, buy pieces or see their process of making objects. Curated by the owners & designers of Reykjavík Trading Co. (an Icelandic / California homeware company) the Garden Cottage is their first project of creating a home space for guests to experience a unique & cozy feeling while visiting Iceland. The bottom floor of the 1884 built home has been completely remodeled for guests. Everything in the home has been either made by hand by R.T.Co. or selected from their collection of preferred products & appliances. Anthony Bacigalupo & Ýr Káradóttir, the owners of The Garden Cottage, live & work in the separate upper part of the historic home & their R.T.Co. workshop is located in the back of the garden for guests to visit, learn about the pieces being crafted, or just to have a cup of coffee. We wanted to create a place for guests to experience "slow living" & create a special stay. Having designed spaces for hotels, cafes, bars we decided to put our inspiration & collection into this project & build something completely one-of-a-kind in Iceland. Our registration number is HG-00003324 Our guests have the whole bottom house to themselves, with a selection of curated magazines, books & products from R.T.Co. & other designers. The home was built in 1884 & we have been remodeling & bringing back the style it once was but also bringing back the garden & farm style that was once so prominent back in the day. We believe in hospitality to the fullest which sadly doesn't exist anymore in places. Since we live on the property we can answer any questions you have or have you in for a coffee if you need help deciding your journey in Iceland. The cottage is in the oldest part of Hafnarfjörður, a small harbor town. There are great farm-to-table restaurants, bakeries, live music, artist studios and swimming pools nearby. It’s conveniently located across the road from the town’s bus terminal. The house has three stories but is broken into two flats- we live on the upper floors with our children with separate driveway and front door- but we are here for anything you need or to have a coffee in the greenhouse! Our little town can be easily walked around & explored. Shuttle stops for airport & Blue Lagoon are 3 minutes walk next to the ocean & the bus terminal into Reykjavík is close as well.

Fabulous Penthouse Apartment on the main street

This amazing Penthouse apartment is on the top two floors in a relatively new building on Laugavegur, the main shopping street, fully equipped with everything you need for a short or medium-term stay. Downstairs there is a bathroom with a large bathtub and shower, kitchen, a living-room with a dining area and a large window facing south towards Hallgrimskirkja, the main Reykjavik landmark. The bedroom is upstairs along with a balcony providing excellent view to the south over the city centre.

Perfect Apartment in the Heart of Reykjavik

An apartment with private entrance, 37 square meters, high ceiling, kitchen with table and chairs, bathroom with shower, small living room with sofa bed for two and a TV Bedroom with two single beds which can be attached together, a laundry room - Everything you need 50/100 meters to restaurants, bars, super markets, bakery, churches, museums and 900 meters to world famous Harpa concert house, a car is not necessary Early check in whenever possible. Near Reykjavik, Lakeside beach front.

Gunnu Hús by Meðalfellsvatn ( Our lakeside cottage nestles at the foot of Medalfell mountain and the garden leads right down to the lake. The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

Quiet, Secluded Lake Home with Stunning Views

View the sunset over the lake or see the Aurora Borealis, when the conditions are right, from the deck wrapping around the house or even from the hot tub. This secluded home situated in a mountain valley offers wooden accents throughout, and comfortable Amenities. It feels far away from any city, and yet it is only 40 min drive from center Reykjavik. Many points of interest in the west and south of Iceland are within easy reach. Note there are 90km from Keflavik international airport.

COZY CABIN near Golden Circle with a HOT TUB

You will love your stay in our charmingly furnished, cozy little cabin. Uniquely located on a hill between two mountain ranges, close to a lake you can relax with up to 4 people. And all this just 15 minutes by car from Reykjavik. An ideal starting point for day trips to Reykjavík, the south coast of Iceland or for exploring the highlights of the famous "Golden Circle" – including evening relaxation in the luxurious jacuzzi. Cosy Studio 600 m from Hallgrimskirkja Church

Friendly and cosy 40 sq. m. quality studio that was recently renewed and refurnished. The location is ideal in a quiet neighborhood 600 meters from Hallgrimskirkja Church. The apartment is well located with children playground in 50 meters, 150 meters from nice Klambratun park and Kjarvalsstadir art museum. It is 650 meters from the main street Laugavegur and 700 meters from the street Skolavordustigur. BSI, the main Bus Terminal in Reykjavik, is 650 meters away.

Downtown-New-Design-Studio-Apartment"free parking"

The studio is in the basement on a separate and private part of a four floor building. The house is in front of a primary school which I love because it is so alive when the children go out to play. The school started at 08:30 and you might hear the bell ringing and children and parents coming to school. Free public parking across the street.

Cosy apartment in 101 Reykjavík

It is a nice little flat with private entrance downstairs in a beautiful house downtown Reykjavik. We live upstairs. The flat is only in a few minutes walking distance from the city centre and the old harbour where you will find nice restaurants, bars, museums, shops, art galleries and our landmark Concert Hall, Harpa.

New Apt in the heart of RVK with stunning view!

This apt has a stunning view over Reykjavik and the harbour. It sleeps 4 people comfortably, has a NEW comfy sofa bed in the living room so 4 people, adults or kids can sleep. A lift will take you to the 7th floor to reach the apt. It is nicely furnished in a modern way. Very quiet and well accessible.

Beautiful new basement flat on edge of fjord, ideal for spotting Northern Lights and migrating birds. Peaceful location, just 15 mins drive from central Reykjavík. Very child friendly with play areas, toys and playmates. Walking trails, award winning bakery and swimming pool nearby.
