Our family cabin is located in the small historic town of Raymond in the heart of the Sierra foothills, 39.2 miles from the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park. The newly built cabin features modern conveniences with a rustic feel.  Experience breathtaking views, beautiful sunsets, hiking, a seasonal creek, an abundance of wildlife, and incredible rock formations to explore.  Up to 2 horses are welcome in our 2 corrals. WALK TO YARTS - The Prospector at Southgate

ON THE WAY TO YOSEMITE. We are just steps from the Yosemite bus stop (YARTS), the Coarsegold Historic Village, three locally owned restaurants, and Zander’s coffee. New! The Mountain Oaks Cafe and bar just opened 150 ft from our door. We are the the only stay RIGHT in historic Coarsegold. The Prospector was built for travelers who wish to enjoy a local feel. The hillside setting provides a mountain camping vibe but with amenities like a Tesla/EV charger, Bluetooth speakers and a hillside spa.

This is a free-standing home built specifically as a vacation rental cottage in early 2020. It is a quiet, comfortable space in a rural setting with a private patio and views of the Sierra foothills. It is a perfect spot for a family or couple wanting to visit the National Parks nearby (80 min. to Yosemite, 120+ to Sequoia and Kings Canyon).
