The Samuel Dearing House (formerly known as The Dearing Mansion), with its stunning views of the St. Paul skyline, has been a westside landmark since 1885. This Italianate-Queen Anne home boasts nine fireplaces, beautiful stained glass windows, stunning woodwork, unique lighting fixtures, and ornate architectural details. While spacious and commanding, the antique-filled Dearing House is also warm and welcoming, offering tastefully themed guest rooms and plenty of comfortable parlours.

Charming Room in a Historic Home

The Dickens Room is cozy and comfortable; furnished for you with antiques, including a double brass bedstead with beautiful bedding, a loveseat, and a writing desk. The windows of this room are almost full-length, providing plenty of sunshine, but they also have drapes and original shutters. The Dickens Room shares a bathroom right down the hall next to The Cozy (which is where our guests will find snacks and beverages to enjoy in their rooms or in the downstairs parlours).

Historic Inn, Room with Private Bath, Gregg Room

Historic home built in 1898 for the Gregg Family. Jesse Gregg was a prominent iron merchant and had this big beautiful brick home built for his family by the notable architect Clarence Johnston. The Gregg room is the original master bedroom of the home, with private en-suite bathroom. Bathroom has antique clawfoot tub with hand shower combo. The room has a queen bed and nice views of the neighborhood.

Garden Cottage Upstairs, wk UofM, Bus Stop

The entire upstairs is your private suite w/queen size bed, twin sofa bed, frig w/freezer, Keurig & flat screen TV w/Netflix, etc. Adjoining room w/bunk beds, closet & chest of drawers. Walk in closet can be used as nursery with Pack & Play provided. Newly remodeled bathroom w/jetted tub & shower on this floor. A 2nd full bath on main floor, kitchen, dining rm + patio w/grill shared w/me for your use.

Como Lake B and B: Ericsson Suite

Spacious King four poster room with bath en suite. Lake view. Great bus access to both downtowns and many colleges. Walk or bike around Como park and enjoy the conservatory, zoo, pool and waterpark. Enjoy the patios, porches and gardens. Licensed and inspected Bed and Breakfast. Breakfasts are hearty and be purchased at an additional charge. Let host know before arrival if interested.

A wonderful retreat overlooking St Paul's beautiful Como Lake. Four room Aerie Suite in a Classic Craftsman home has 10 skylights, a two person Jacuzzi, separate shower, living room area, kitchenette and king bed. Licensed and inspected Bed and Breakfast. Our beautiful house located 2 blocks from the Mississippi River equidistant to Downtown St. Paul and Minneapolis. We are 15-30 minutes walking distance to University of St. Thomas, St. Catherine University, and Macalester College. We offer a queen-size bed in a private room and breakfast.

My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups. There are 3 other rooms available as well. One block to the bus stop drops at the stadiums and downtown. Breakfast is an additional charge when booked through this site.
