A few years ago, when we decided to move from Hanoi to Hoi An, I dreamt of a home in Cam Chau—renowned for its serene rice fields and prime location near all the attractions. I'll never forget our first visit in February: the entire property was surrounded by a mesmerizing expanse of vibrant green paddy fields. It was too big for us to afford then, but the memory stayed with us in Hanoi. We returned in late April, and seeing the fields ripened to liquid gold captivated us completely.
