Kilchoman Apartment

A perfect holiday bolt hole for a solo traveller or couple. Return after a day exploring Islay to a wonderfully comfortable and welcoming home. 1 double room, sleeps 2. The apartment is open plan over two levels. On the ground floor there is a spacious living and dining area with stylish furnishings, comfortable sofas and tall windows that let the morning light stream in. The modern kitchen, looking out onto open countryside is compact yet superbly equipped and there's a bathroom perfect for a long soak in the bath after a day's beach-combing. The upper floor comprises a bright double bedroom with an incredibly comfortable kingsize bed on a gallery level, with en-suite facilities including a shower.

The Old Byre, An Gleann

The Old Byre is a spacious, one bedroomed cottage to the rear of An Gleann, our home/business. It sits 4 miles outside of Port Charlotte on the road to Portnahaven. The cottage has its own private parking and secluded patio area to the side and back. Recently built on the site of our old byre, the cottage combines traditional features with bright decor and all the essential home comforts. Set within our 1 acre garden, surrounded by forestry and farmland, this is the ideal place to come to relax!

Extra guests for a small fee. 2 bed room in the Youth Hostel similar cost. Linen and towels supplied. No wifi. Short letting window and higher costs. If you do not have your own dongle or account wifi is available in a number of places in the village. TIP Check ferry availability and insurance coverage.

Meerblick1, grüne Wiesen, Schafe und weiter Himmel

Beautiful granny flat with sea views, terrace, well-equipped kitchen and en-suite bathroom for up to 4 people. Unfortunately not suitable for dogs and small children. A further 3 rooms located in the main house can be additionally booked on Airbnb, also to provide a second bathroom. Please let me know via Airbnb Messenger who will be arriving and when so I can prepare the rooms. The sofa bed is a “small double” (1.20 m wide) and only suitable for one person, skinny couples or 2 children.

Pier House

Pier House is beautifully located with stunning views. A huge lounge with Juliette balcony. The house is presented over 2 floors with the living room on the upper floor to maximise the exceptional vista. The house has all modern facilities and comes well equipped and presented. There are 4 bedrooms, a main bathroom, a separate wc and the master bedroom is complete with its own en-suite and shower. The property is on the edge of the beach and next to the pier, utterly perfectly located.

The Black House, Islay

The Black House is a unique property situated between Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. We use the house for High School to save commuting from Jura every day so don’t expect a pristine holiday let but rather a loved family space. There are 2 double beds and 2 bunk bedrooms (if you’re a party of single adults then 4 is the maximum number). Views are stunning and Islay’s great for whisky, wildlife or just rest and relaxation. Portbahn House, near Bruichladdich Distillery

Portbahn was our family home before moving to Jura, and we hope you'll find it as welcoming as we did. This modern waterfront house sits right on Islay's scenic coastal route with stunning loch views. Sleeps 8 across 3 ground-floor bedrooms—perfect for families. Large enclosed garden with trampoline and swings. Walk to Bruichladdich Distillery (10 mins), beaches, and coastal paths. Underfloor heating and wood-burner make it cosy year-round. Dogs welcome. Croft Acre Holiday Pod

A cosy Pod on the edge of Port Charlotte. Nestled in the countryside on our small croft, the setting provides access to beautiful landscapes, local wildlife, a 5 minute walk to local amenities including a shop, pubs, restaurants, beaches, museum and island bus route. A 20 minute walk along the Lochindaal coastal path connects the neighbouring village of Bruichladdich, where you can enjoy a local coffee stop or experience a whisky tasting and tour at Bruichladdich Distillery.

The Wee House

The Wee House is a one bedroom seafront cottage looking onto Port Ellen. Sleeping up to 4 guests with a sofa bed (full size double) in the living room. Listing price is for 2 guests sharing the bedroom. If the sofa bed is required for bookings of 2 guests please let us know as there is an extra charge (£10 per night). The cottage is within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants and near to the distillery path taking you to Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg.

Lorgba Caravan

Enjoy a peacful stay in a beautiful location, overlooking our farm with highland cows and barley growing for the neighbouring distillery. Situated next to Lochindaal coastal path, making it a short walk into the village of Port Charlotte or a 20 minute walk to Bruichladdich Distillery. Port Charlotte has plenty places to eat including Port Charlotte Hotel & The Seafood Kitchen. There is also a small local shop where you can get all essential items and petrol.
