This was our second stay at the bus. We stayed back in the summer and before we even left, my kids were asking me to book it again when it was cooler outside. They wanted to be able to snuggle in the bus with board games and books. We had the perfect weekend of cooler temps so we turned the fireplace on for board games and books but it was nice during the day for books in the hammock and walking around the property. Eartha Dancier and Micheal are the best host ever. She even found extra tea with caffeine in her own home for me to help with a headache. I cannot give them enough praise for both their hospitality and their bus. My kids have now asked that we stay longer than a weekend and I think they would probably move out here if we could. They are the most attentive hosts and there are no details lost.

Nice cottage - beautiful windows overlooking pasture. Kitchen well stocked including snacks - especially liked the electric tea kettle. Plenty of blankets, pillows and towels. Brought our horses - very accommodating. Had 2 paddocks and 4 stalls. The only thing missing was a cover for the stalls which would have been great for the nights with rain and storms. We used Sue’s horse guide services. She took us all around Shawnee. Saw amazing sites - rocks, bluffs, waterfalls and caves. While it was just 2 of us in cabin, all rides included other people - friends of Sue or other clients and Sue’s trail dogs. So much fun and hope to return soon!

This space was great! it's listed as a "tiny home" but it does not feel like a tiny home at all. There is plenty of space, an extremely comfortable couch and chair in the main living space, a fully functional kitchen, a decent sized bedroom, and a large bathroom. It is beautiful on the inside and you can tell they spent a lot of money and time putting it together. THE OUTSIDE is the real draw here. A charming fire pit area that has a walkway leading to it directly behind the house. Off to the side is a fenced in private hot tub deck. It is perfect. It is right off the main road, but tucked far enough back that it is very secluded with tons of privacy. The hosts were so helpful, easy to work with, kind, and even had a welcome snack waiting when I walked in. I highly recommend this space!

My wife, two year-old, four-year-old, and I stayed for two nights as a spring trip getaway to Southern Illinois for hiking, history, and memories. Their house was in a very convenient location for places like Millstone bluff, garden of the gods etc. we felt like we were in our own home and one of our favorite things about the place is how secluded it is. The kids and I were able to walk around the property at night with flashlights playing around with not having to worry about disturbing any neighbors. We hated to leave as we had such a good time and wished we had an extra couple days but our trip took us more south western in the state afterwards. Thank you all for being such great hosts, we hope to return again in the future!

We needed a place to get away and do some soul searching. Steve's place was perfect. It's so peaceful and quiet. We had the best time. Caught some fish and had a great time in the hot tub. Steve and his wife were great company while we were chatting at the winery and gave great recommendations on places to visit. We also had plenty on privacy when we needed it. We will definitely be going back when headed back to that area to explore.

This is our second stay at Little Texas and it certainly won’t be our last! It feels like our home in Shawnee. The house is clean and has everything we need for the week. It’s surrounded by beautiful land. We fished and had a fire. We really enjoyed our time on the property and of course exploring the forest!

This dome was a perfect getaway for our girls trip, and we loved sitting on the deck at sunset! This home was beautiful and easy to live in. We tried out all the amenities and we were not disappointed! Thank you Kyle this place is truly incredible!

Cute and quaint 1 bedroom place out of a remodeled garage area. Air conditioner unit made the temperature comfortable. Space was clean and instructions were clear. Good communication with host.

Julie’s place is gorgeous and very unique! It’s in a central location with easy access to the sites and restaurants in Paducah. The spacious property has comfortable beds and a kitchen with all the best amenities. You would never find a better place to stay in Paducah. Thank you Julie!!
