The property includes barrier-free facilities such as wooded trails, open field, gazebo, surrounding cement walkways and easy water access. Unwind in the hot tub or cozy up around the fire pit while enjoying the amazing view. Our cottage is a place where people of all ages and abilities can stay, escape and enjoy the outdoors.

Oak and Aspen Cabin

Nestled among the oak trees, at the top of a riverbank, you'll find a beautiful handmade dovetail log cabin overlooking the East River. Come explore the 25 acre wooded property in Riverton with hundreds of feet of river front. The river offers wonderful swimming and fishing opportunities with three great salmon holes within a 5 minute walk from the cabin. The cabin is a work of art and has all the amenities you need to make your stay comfortable. It is a 5 minute hike to access the cabin.

This beautiful haven is only four years old. Its large windows viewing water on all sides and contemporary touches make this the ultimate getaway place. The tranquility of the island is a wonderful escape with a private beach fronting on the property. The cottage is accented with a tons of local artisans' work from furniture and art work, to cosmetics and decor pieces. Our little oasis is a hidden gem and we want others to have the pleasure of enjoying what our quaint cottage has to offer.

Riverside Cottage (with heated pool Mid Jun -Sept)

Cottage sits right alongside of the West River of Pictou and has a heated swimming pool—weather permitting. Very quiet and private. Couples/Singles only. Free use of the onsite canoe or kayaks. There is a private firepit onsite which can be used when the government burn restrictions permit, and a private deck with a bbq. There is also an above ground heated pool shared with the owners. The “Kenzie B” cottage is a newly built cottage with unique features throughout like a sliding steel barn door, a steel shower and old barn beams along the ceiling. The covered veranda off the front of the cottage provides you with stunning views of the tidal river and a private hot tub overlooks the river as well. Swim, boat, float, whatever you wish, the river awaits! We also have a motorized floating picnic table for rent if you'd like to explore the river some more.
