Unfortunately no dogs/children/ infants are allowed as we are a working sheep farm & surrounded by water. One Bed Beautifully Restored Listed Cosy Bothy

NB: The barns opposite have recently been purchased and will be restored in due course, so daytime building works are possible. Our Bothy is a beautifully restored one-bedroom cosy and welcoming retreat in a peaceful setting, surrounded by an acre of meadow and hills. Just over a mile from the ducal village of Thornhill’s shops, cafés and pubs. Full of original character, it is an immaculate, fully equipped and comfortable base for relaxing, walking and exploring scenic Dumfries and Galloway.

The Steading Cottage

The Steading Cottage at Holmhill was once the stables and groom’s quarters to the elegant Georgian main house built by the Drumlanrig Castle Estate. It offers a cosy and beautifully appointed country retreat with breathtaking views over the beautiful Nith Valley and surrounding farmland, renown for its walks, wildlife and fishing. Multiple French Doors provide access to the patio and garden. The Cottage has ramped access. Visit Scotland awarded the Steading Cottage, Holmhill, a 4 star rating.

There are two bedrooms (one king size bed, one twin), a wood burning stove, lovely fresh characterful décor, books, a spacious kitchen, stunning views. You can explore beautiful beaches, great small towns, rolling hills or just enjoy looking out the window. You'll hear owls, see hares and red kites and get a taste of this undiscovered corner of Scotland.

Our off-grid Shepherd's Hut offers a peaceful retreat on the edge of a working farm. Set on the banks of Loch Patrick in SW Scotland, our shepherds hut sleeps two, has a wood burning stove and beautiful views. Our eco-friendly hut offers an opportunity to completely switch off and enjoy a slower pace of life. Enjoy watching the sunrise from the decking, star gazing at the fire pit or while away the days watching the wildlife, you will not be disappointed by the tranquillity of our location.

Perfectly situated only 10 minutes walk from stunning river and woodland walks and 5 minute drive to historical Drumlanrig Castle to enjoy walking, fishing, cycling/ mountain biking and bird watching

Stunning 3-Bed Rural Cottage

Prince’s Cottage is the old Shepard’s house and was originally made for the Prince Family. A 3 bedroom cottage that has been renovated and has the most amazing views. It is nestled just off the dead-end road that goes up the glen. It has its own little garden which is great for a dog to run around, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything that you need to make a feast after a day outside and when you are done you can sit by the log burner to play games at the end of the day.
