SUMMER ROSE a Yurt for ALL Seasons

SUMMER ROSE - Overlooking the Field of Dreams pasture, and future pond, is a spacious wooden yurt with a spectacular ceiling, personal hot tub and "Hideout" a screened in sanctuary. The Appleton Retreat is situated on 120 acres of privately owned land. To the south, a short walk from Summer Rose, is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area where you can view wildlife or kayak; and to the north, a wooded trail leads to a secluded pond on 1,300 acres of Nature Conservancy protected land.

On the edge of our family homestead overlooking meadow & forest, this tiny house offers a quiet, cozy refuge only 40 minutes from Acadia National Park. There's a twin daybed on the ground floor & a double futon in the loft. Full kitchen & tiny bathroom with shower too. A heat pump keeps the place toasty warm or nice and cool. The tiny house and meadow are very private on the edge of the property, and just for you. Our family's gazebo, fire pit, hammock, trail & garden are shared with guests.

Beautiful hand built cabin, overlooking Cotton Pond. Ten minutes from Camden, the sailing mecca of the east coast. Solar lights, (we are off the grid) gravity fed kitchen water, gas-hot water outdoor shower, outhouse overlooking the forest. Hiking trails everywhere! Swimming across the road on Hobbs Pond. If you book in November, there is a possibility that if it gets cold, you will not have a hot outdoor shower and will use water from a 5 gallon ceramic container for drinking and cooking.

This is an edge wood enchanting retreat perfect for two to hear birds, squirrels and porcupines. Remember to pick some blueberries when it is in season before the black baby bear down the road eat them all. 3D nature is unfolding right in front of your eyes and Acadia National Park is 50 min drive from here. We offer super comfy beds, an outdoor shower, twinkle lights, summer nights filled with fireflies, bright maples in the fall, and cozy winter movie nights in a bed alcove like on a boat.
