Had a great stay at Carols! We loved meeting the horses and Carol’s sweet dog. The home was cozy and perfect for the snowy weekend we stayed. Would love to return!

Ryan’s place was just as advertised. It’s was centrally located within walking distance to stores and restaurants within a quiet neighborhood. The home had all one would need to be comfortable. Additionally there was a nice outdoor fire pit and a hot tub. I would recommend Ryan’s place.

The house was perfect for us. Very clean and organized. Great host always responded in a timely manner. Was only about a 30 to 40 minute drive to Acadia National Park & Bar harbor, depending on traffic it could take longer. If we ever make it back to Maine I would definitely stay at the Higgins Retreat again. Thanks again Richard & Tina.

We loved our stay at Jason’s place! We had 10 total people staying for Labor Day weekend - 7 adults, 3 kids and a dog. We all had plenty of room, the house was gorgeous - especially the kitchen and living room! We used the pool, the lake (kayaks and canoes - lots of life jackets to choose from), the basketball court and were so thankful for the option to rent the pontoon boat! My son had a great time fishing. The neighborhood is very quiet. We also had fun checking out nearby antique shops one morning & going into Bangor one evening for dinner. We will be back!

A nice rustic, peaceful getaway for our crew at the end of a long day. We appreciated the space and the surrounding greenery of Maine!

Felt like a home away from home! It was cozy and clean and had all the amenities we needed for our short stay in the area. We enjoyed our stay immensely!

We stayed here while displaced by a home fire and the hosts were very gracious when we needed to book last minute/extend our stay. The kids love the chickens and trampoline! We had everything we needed here and were pleased with our stay.

The house was an amazing location! We thoroughly enjoyed the sunrises & sunsets while grilling dinners in the evenings! The house was very clean and Robert was a great host. I mess him to ask if there was an axe on site. He responded that there wasn’t but that he would get firewood for us the next morning. It was so awesome to sit around the fire at night and hear the loons calling. It was very relaxing. We had to travel at least an hour to do the site seeing we wanted to do but we expected that. Overall was great and I’d recommend the house to others!!

I live nearby but had friends visiting from Germany and wanted them to have the "camp" experience. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. My friends loved it as well as being right on the lake. The place was exactly as described and we felt right at home. I'm hoping this place is available whenever we have friends visit because I would definitely book it again.

Super clean, kitchen fully stocked and plenty of towels and blankets! Large comfy couch! Plenty of space!

This large, beautiful house offered many bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as an enormous first floor living area. You could easily fit a couple If families in this awesome house. It is quite literally “on campus”, too. We showed my son the university while we were there. Just a great stay in a clean, comfortable home. Thank you!

Ohhhh my goodness. What a hidden slice of heaven! Yes…there is a 5 mile trek down a bumpy dirt road, but don’t let that deter you, once you pull in the driveway…you’ll understand it was well worth it. The main house and two tiny houses were completely stocked. There wasn’t anything that wasn’t there. Everything was cleaned and well maintained and in great working order. There was plenty of space for our three families to spread out. If you’re looking for a peaceful get away…this is it. We would definitely look into this place again!!!!!!

We were a party of 6 people and had a wonderful stay at the Lakefront cabin in Dedham. We arrived on an evening of a clear sky, did some astro-photography. The dark skies with almost no light pollution was perfect for this. Fall colors were just at their peak in the region, so we would wake up to the most amazing views of the lake. The host provided kayaks with oars, a well-equipped kitchen along with a good collection of spices and seasoning ingredients. The house was also well-stocked with towels, and other daily use necessities. The property is also close to grocery and supplies, so we were able to conveniently obtain food during our stay. Well-maintained house, with good amenities and an excellent host. Thank you Paulina for facilitating a memorable Fall vacation for us.

First time stayer at Amy’s and WOW was it clean! A pet friendly place is my kinda place but walking through the door you get the beautiful aromas of cozy home scents and pristine cleanliness ✨ it was super cozy, a huge bathroom well stocked of towels, and two cozy beds. ROKU TV was a huge plus to relax to after long days hiking. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots/pans, appliances and a few spices. The best part about the place was the location- either direction you choose to take you pass lakes and mountains with beautiful sunsets or acres amongst acres of beautiful farm land and horses. It was approx 55min from Acadia but a beautiful drive there as well. Overall it was well worth every penny and we will be future returners.

Such a cute little house, beautiful back porch for sunbathing & reading on, really clean & tidy, has everything you would want or need, just round the corner from the supermarket & within easy drive of Bangor. I wish that we could have stayed longer

I only have great things to say about our visit- the area was beautiful and peaceful while still close enough to grocery, restaurants, and activities. We felt at home right away with Ryan’s helpful recommendations and he was always available if we had questions or needed anything. We visited Acadia for a couple of days but other than that spent all our time enjoying the beautiful area by swimming, kayaking, fishing, and stargazing. The kitchen was well-equipped for us to cook and enjoy many meals and we were able to grill given the great weather we had. Easily the most attentive hosts I’ve had, thank you Ryan and Sharon for everything! We loved our stay and would definitely come back!

This was a great location for me to stay while waiting for my husband and son to hike out of the 100 mile wilderness on their way to Mount Katahdin. They were able to take a zero day and enjoy a grilled steak! Kim was very easy to communicate with and quick to respond. The house is exactly as shown.

We had to fly in to Bangor for a funeral with my four kids and Christina’s place was perfect. It felt just like home. When we got up the next day to go to the airport it had snowed overnight and we had to drive on some unplowed roads. I was so glad her place was only 6 miles to the airport. If I had to fly back in to Bangor I would definitely see if Christina’s place was available.

Sarah and Garvey’s place was absolutely incredible. It was also nice to have both places in hosting a larger group, with the guest house just being across the street. The location was impeccable, with an incredible view.
