Amazing house in the most beautiful location. 2 minutes walk and you're on the beach with pelicans and dolphins with kangaroos in the garden too. The house is stocked with everything you could need. Kangaroo Island is one of my favourites places in the works and this house has to be one of the best on the island.

Absolutely loved our stay at KOKUMI! Mark and Leanne have created something truly special. The view is simply breathtaking — one of those places where photos just can’t do it justice. The apartment is incredibly well-equipped with everything you could possibly need, down to the smallest detail. The terrace is an absolute dream — perfect for morning coffee, sunset drinks, or just soaking in the beauty of the surroundings. The absolute highlight? We spotted dolphins right from the terrace — an unforgettable moment that made our stay even more magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Mark and Leanne’s warm hospitality and thoughtful touches made all the difference. Communication was smooth, friendly, and super helpful from start to finish. This place is a gem, and we can’t wait to come back!

"Twin Dolphin Cottage - a haven by the sea"

We spent 4 nights at Twin Dolphin Cottage over Easter. It was the perfect accommodation for our family of 4. The outside deck and gardens are beautiful. Was lovely to hear birds chirping and relax in the peaceful surrounds. The kids loved their room with the bunks. The master bedroom was lovely and very spacious, although we did find the mattress too thin and hard for our liking. The cottage is very homely with books, board games and some toys for the kids. The kitchen is really well appointed and we appreciated the welcome basket and local honey. Margi (Joan) was very responsive to messages and the instructions for check-in and checkout were very clear. The location is fantastic! We loved being able to walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend a stay here, and we hope to return ourselves.

Saltwater Holiday House

We spent a couple of nights at Saltwater recently and absolutely loved it. Dave was very welcoming and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, including having set the wood fire for us in case it got cold. He also gave us great suggestions for places to visit on the island. The cottage is very clean and cosy, and it is fully equipped. The bed is very comfy. The added bonus is the number of birds and wallabies that come to drink from the water hole just outside the front door. Saltwater was easy to get to, yet we felt we were a million miles from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Spectacular views. No noise, only nature sounds. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Had a great stay at Irene and John's place. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Most importantly to me is was a great place for my border collie. Irene and John are clearly dog lovers and looked after her when I was out. A really great stay.

We had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this place! The hosts were warm, friendly and easy to communicate with. It’s perfect for families (and singles or couples too!) - our two young children loved collecting eggs and spending time talking to and watching the farm animals. After busy days, it was the perfect place to relax and truly felt like a home away from home. So many people have asked us where we stayed and I’m recommending the air BnB to them all! Thank you :)

Haven on Herrick was such a wonderful stay for my family of seven. For such a large space it felt warm and welcoming with thoughtful attention to detail and luxurious inclusions. The short walk to the absolutely stunning Sellicks beach was a real surprise. We’ve experienced lots of Airbnb’s as a family over the years and Renee’s place is up there at the top. Thanks for your help and communication Renee, it was a pleasure all round.

This accommodation was recommended to us to stay at and we in turn would recommend it to others. We loved our stay. Lovey clean spacious rooms with comfortable furniture. With added bonus.. a lovely BBQ area and outside garden to enjoy. plus a very attentive host.

My Island Home

This place was amazing for our needs. Very well thought out house for families wanting to stay together but still have space. The surroundings were very peaceful and heaps of room for boats cars etc. Very close to town yet it was so quiet and the sunrises are amazing from the front deck. We will be recommending to friends and family and would definitely book this place again. Thank you to Tamara for the fantastic hospitality and flexibility 🙏🏻👍

We staying in Normanville recently for a Nippers Carnival and had the best weekend away. The beds were comfy, house clean and well maintained and our host was super responsive to our messages. Die Unterkunft ist sehr ruhig gelegen und morgens wird man von schönen Vogel Geräuschen geweckt. Abends haben uns Wallabys in der Nähe der Terrasse besucht. Wer die Natur und Ruhe mag, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Die Küche war mit allem Nötigen ausgerüstet und die Betten waren sehr gemütlich. Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen. Vielen Dank für alles!

Airbnb was great, easy check in and beautiful view of the beach across the road. Perfect for walks along the beach/path. Found it very difficult to get ubers and drivers kept cancelling, host was great and offered to drive us to pick up our car one morning. Had planned to go into McLarenVale one day for lunch so then just booked a taxi in advance.

Stunning place in the heart of Penneshaw. Short drive from the ferry, walking distance to the pub, supermarket & local cafes. Tourist office right across the road. It was so clean & tidy, every thing was available for a wonderful stay. BBQ on the deck overlooking the beautiful water, was our favorite pastime. Ellie was super helpful with our check out & we loved our stay here.

Neil’s place was peaceful, serene and the perfect place for a quiet getaway. Neil was responsive with all enquiries and greeted us upon arrival. The home was supplied with adequate amenities, which meant less stress in packing. The granny flat is located in a quiet suburb, and is walkable distance to the beach or shops/cafes. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I would definitely book again!

Our 2 br unit was spotlessly clean, with everything we needed. Close enough to the town centre - supermarket and cafes and worked well as a base for the rest of the island. Kirsty made contact during our week's stay to make sure we had all we needed and we sure did.
