If you are looking for a little more activity take advantage of the outdoors with harbour, beach and local walks close by.

The Studio

Welcome to my secluded, peaceful hideaway. The studio is a large open plan space. Large sliding doors completely open up the front of the building onto the deck, giving you a feeling of always being close to nature. Surrounded by trees, orchard, lawn and garden, the studio is a quiet retreat space. The sound of the sea and bird song are always in the background. It's 50m from our house and well hidden by trees, so you'll feel very private. The best beach in NZ is a 15 minute walk away!

Nestled behind the sand dunes and with direct access onto Hukuwai Beach and Motu Dunes Trail - Hukuwai Beach Cottage is the perfect location for couples wanting to unwind with quiet beach walks and/or biking. Our modern luxury cottage is fully equipped with quality linen, furniture, and fittings. After a beach swim/walk, bike ride or surf you can cool off under the outside shower and relax in the courtyard/garden with a cold drink. Located on SH35 only 2 minutes' drive from Opotiki.

The Bach

Welcome to Bryan’s Beach! Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. You can find this special bach on the hidden gem that is Ohiwa Beach. You will be surrounded by fabulous fishing, walking and cycling opportunities. The apartment features 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with multiple channels, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a terrace with sea views. The property has an outdoor dining area. There is excellent Starlink Wifi.

Waiotahe Beach Hutts

Enioy our slice of paradise at Waiotahe beach. This Tiny-Home-style bach is only 2 min walk to a beautiful swimming beach. Nestled away in Waiotahe drifts; a perfect get-away for a long weekend. The Beach hutts have all the comforts of modern living: ultra-fast broadband, Smart TV, an extra large shower, dishwasher, large BBQ and more. This large site has plenty of room for additional tents and caravans for larger families (power available). Dogs ok with conditions.

Longview Cottage - peace and quiet.

My place is close to beaches, bush and the famous Motu cycle way. You’ll love my place because of the friendly welcome, the little extras AND the comfy bed!! Only 2 hours driving from either Tauranga, Rotorua or Gisborne - a good resting point. Lovely quiet cottage set on lifestyle block with many chickens and sheep. 3 minutes driving to fabulous Waiotahi beach and only 10 minutes into Opotiki for cafes and shopping. Peace and tranquility - leave the city behind.

A peaceful, private, modern, comfortable self contained unit attached to our house in beautiful location. Private entrance, beautiful garden with view towards the East Cape. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers and family's with one child. 3 min drive to town centre. Close to beaches, rivers , bush walks and the popular Motu Trail. Just passing through or staying for a while you more than welcome !

Seagull Cottage - a riverside bach near the beach.

Find your calm at Seagull Cottage. Being right on the river, only a short stroll to the beach, and next to all the bike trails - it's the perfect holiday home to enjoy all your favorite activities from boogie boarding, biking and fishing to reading, napping and board games. This little bach brings it all together in the perfect location with a big garden and sunrise/sunset seat overlooking the river.

Windsor Cottage

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. This well-preserved historic villa has 3 bedrooms and a modern bathroom. There is a covered deck at the back with table and chairs. Plenty of off street parking. Within walking distance to the town center and the newly-built skate park, it’s also conveniently located to beaches, fishing, and the famous Motu cycle trail.

Sand Dune Studio

Kick back and relax with the sounds of the ocean in this calm, private space. The beach is a mere stroll away. Bring your bikes, you can park up and make use of the motu/dune bike trail which is accessible from just beyond the studio.
