Inspired by the Backcountry huts throughout the area, it provides a rustic country-style experience. Situated 15 minutes outside of Twizel in the heart of the Mackenzie, it has direct access to all of the natural amenities that the area is world famous for including snow sports, mountaineering, hiking & tramping, mountain-biking, hunting & fishing among many other activities

Twizel retreats - GH Cottage

This newly built cottage is located in a peaceful location. Guests will have sole occupancy of the cottage. It has a great mountain view and the dark night sky reserve here. It's only 45 mins drive to Mt Cook National Park, 10 mins drive to Lake Pukaki. It is air-conditioned and provides all the necessary amenities and essentials to make your stay comfortable. Two bedrooms with a very comfy King size bed and two Single beds. A nice bathroom is completed with a waterfall-style shower head.
