Romantic Hideaway "Louise" in Rural Mangawhai

Indulge in the simple romance of a cabin in the woods, the tiny house of a bygone era. Dubbed "Louise", your cute & comfortable accommodation is a replica early 1900s farmworker's van. Tucked away amongst native trees and fringed by streams and wetlands, you'll have all the privacy you need on a quiet rural property, with host's home discreetly nearby. Cook outdoors with the camp kitchen, own bathroom, and hot tub under the stars. Just 10 minutes drive to Mangawhai Heads Beach, cafes and shops.

Enjoy mountain views in our beautifully crafted space! The cabin is self contained with bathroom and kitchen and has its own garden for you to enjoy. Sit and enjoy the view and the peace and quiet, and the many native birds we have in our small village inc tui, bellbirds and kereru. This is a great place to explore Fiordland, Doubtful Sound and Milford Sound from. Our space is not suitable for children, sorry. Wifi coming. Rustic Mini Homestead

Get back to nature with a side of luxury. Relax in a comfortable Queen sized bed and awake to a beautiful sunrise, the sounds of kookaburras, magpies, chooks and Dawn the duck. A rustic stay wouldn't be complete without the outdoor dunny and shower. Fortunately not a long drop so no redbacks under the seat.. Then step outside with your plunger coffee and Sourdough from The Plough, with your very own Echunga Premium Honey. Sit on the deck or stroll down to the lake to sit with the sunrise.

The Good Shepherds Hut in the NZ Dark Sky Reserve

Treat yourself to a slice of New Zealand's rural life and check into The Good Shepherds Hut, an historic shepherds' dwelling at Simons Hill Station that's been lovingly restored into a cosy, relaxing accommodation space while still retaining its rustic charm and rural atmosphere. Enjoy the comfort of its queen bed for two, private spa pool, outdoor shower and private ensuite bathroom. Simons Hill offers a deeper darker night sky experience within Mackenzie's famous Dark Sky Reserve.

Charlotte's Hut

Rustic Range Retreat overlooks a rural valley in Georges Plains, 15kms from Bathurst. You will be able to relax and reconnect or explore the sights that Bathurst has to offer. The accommodation site is 0.8 acre with a games area and your own firepit. You can walk around sections of the property and take a picnic. The sunrise and sunset are spectacular. We have a herd of Highland Cattle in addition to being beekeepers. We are often working around the farm during your visit.

Bahay kubo in a small vegetable mini-farm overlooking Taal lake and volcano, with nearby riverstream. Walking distance (300 meters) from national highway of Tanauan- Talisay boundary, along barangay San Jose road. Across Diwatang Parang bougainvillea garden. Tagaytay midlands can be viewed in the distance, and Tagaytay be half hour away by own vehicle via Talisay- Sungay uphill. Farm stop and stay with bird watching, serene view of Angasin hill.

Cromel Valley Station Cottage

Our shepherd's hut is smack bang in the middle of our yard, surrounded by working machinery, farm stock, dogs, horses and a stones throw to the Cromel River. We are a family farm running sheep, beef and dairy support. Always a horse, lamb and dog to pat, fresh farm eggs are available for guests, as long as the girls are laying. Come and relax on one of the first established farms in Southland miles from the main road.

Glens of Tekoa Cookshop

You’ll have plenty to enjoy at this historic place in a picturesque setting. Will sleep multi families with access to the river great place for bike riding and enjoying a remote location. Glens of Tekoa shearer’s quarters (the cookhouse) is the original shearer’s quarter with an updated kitchen large dinning area. A place to enjoy without the interrupts of everyday life.

Cozy cottage on our Sheep Farm

Get cosy and settle into this rustic space. Located on 350 hectares of a coastal sheep farm. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Please be aware, the cottage is a step or two above camping. The bedding is all brand new as are the towels. The bed is soft. There is no wifi or cell reception. The views from the deck are truly amazing and you are welcome to use our kayaks.

Get away from it all and settle into this gorgeous country orchard haven only 25mins or so from Timaru, Fairlie, or Geraldine. Your purpose-built wagons are nestled in a private setting within the one acre property. The owners live nearby in a converted stone church. Light breakfast, at no cost, is available on request.
