Bookbinders's Retreat

Located in Oamaru, this beautifully restored, cosy and warm Cabin is the perfect place to base yourself at while you explore the Otago region. Bookbinder's Retreat is small self-contained studio, situated adjacent to the main house. Whilst in the town, the property has a rural outlook over the Public Gardens, and a secluded feel. I have enjoyed creating the space on a small budget over a long time. Travellers seem to appreciate the craftsman like quirkiness of the space which reflects the town.

The outdoor bathtub gives you a private, peaceful oasis where you can gaze at the stars while soaking away your worries. Campbell's Bay, the safe swimming and surfing beach is a 400m walk away. This modern, warm and comfortable three bedroom home, offers everything you could want for a relaxing stay. With the master boasting an ensuite and views. The living is all open plan and leads beautifully on to a wrap around deck, where you can enjoy views over the town and out to sea. It is a walk down hill to the Thames highway and straight into town from there. Could take around half an hour or more depending on your fitness. Or just take a leisurely drive as parking is easy in Oamaru

The Villa

Semi detached villa. Within walking distance from town. 15mins walk or 3mins drive to Scotts Bar and Restaurants. Lovely older house. Kept in the older style of furnishings but comfortable and warm. There is a play ground which is at the school a couple of hundred yards away. Also a German Café and Vegan Cafe across the road. A free standing fire and heat pump for warmth. The whole house is yours 3 Bedrooms, open lounge, dinning room and Kitchen. Coffee and tea are provided.
