Great place tucked away in the Cederberg Mountains. Ideal if looking for a retreat and a peaceful time. Nice hiking trails near by. Great and responsive host. The shower water wasn’t hot. Also bring your own soap as I didn’t realise there was no soap provided. Very affordable price and I highly recommend.

A beautiful house, a mixture of old and new in a magnificent setting. If you like wrap around stoeps and views and plenty of room to spend time with family and friends, then its perfect!! Many thanks.

We enjoyed our stay on our way back home. We would definitely stay here again. It is beautifully decorated and you have a braai area as well as access to the swimming pool. We relaxed on this farm and in future would like to explore this place when we have time

’n Ongelooflike rustige plek waar jy werklik kan ontsnap en kwaliteit gesinstyd kan geniet. Die trampoline, houthuis en warmbad was ideaal om by te ontspan. Die groot plaashuis bied genoeg spasie en is die perfekte plek om weg te kom van die stad se gejaag. Dit is ook ’n fantastiese plek om saam met jong kinders fiets te ry en die rustige plaasomgewing te geniet. Ons sal beslis weer hier kom ontsnap!

Great local for Mountain Zebra Park and the Cradock area. Also great stop over. Beautiful farm with interesting rock formation in the stream next to the cabin.

Изначально жилье, которое я забронировала, стало непригодным для проживания, так как накануне вечером был шторм в этом районе и у коттеджа снесло крышу. Хозяева нам зп день до приезда все сообщили и сказали что предоставят другое жилье. Очень отзывчивые люди, всю информацию нам отправили, все рекомендации дали. Новый дом оказался очень красивым, это отремонтированный 200 летний коттедж, со своей историей, в нем было все для проживания и приготовления еды. Территория большая, много разных кактусов, можно прогуляться до дамбы, но из-за того, что долго не было здесь дождей, она без воды). Также рядом есть большой заповедник) Есть две милые собаки и очень забавный кот, он приходил к нам каждый вечер и я его угощала молоком ) Спасибо за чудесно проведенное время у Вас, все прошло хорошо, спасибо )

The stay at the Corbelled house was nothing short of magnificent. The photos don’t do it justice! The expansive environment and attention to detail in the home is amazing. A beautiful time warp. And Charlene - who runs the farm and cares for the guests is wonderful. Thank you!

This is a truly spectacular venue, perched on the western slopes of Piket-Bo-Berg with elevated views over the Swartland towards Paternoster. We took the main house and the cottage for a 3 day weekend for a party of 14. We used the main house as the social hub with a large open plan kitchen, wonderfully appointed dining deck and excellent outdoor cooking facilities. As a foodie catering to that number the kitchen facilities and options were superb and well integrated with the social spaces. In addition to the cottage, the main house bedrooms are divided between two buildings, 3 under the main roof and two directly across from the main entrance. Each structure has its own kitchen with modern fridges, stoves and ovens. They are tastefully decorated, while the main house has a wonderfully eclectic style that just works. All told we had a super weekend despite a barrage of electricity interruptions on one day but that didn't detract from the overall experience.

The drive to the house already gets you excited, through towns we had never heard of, absolutely exquisite nature and then finally you get to the turn and you can just about see the house on the “hill”. Animals on your doorstep, the pool overlooking the animals, it was spectacular. The house itself was very well equipped with everything we needed. This is a place we would definitely return to, but next time not just as a stopover, we would stay. It is beyond peaceful. Talk about peaceful… you might need a few peaceful sleep bottles :D you are in the middle of nature, surrounded by nature. There were a lot of mosquitoes during the night and of course Hennie was right, do not leave any lights on… we left 1 kitchen light on, the next morning there were like a million bugs (moths) flying around that light, and it is not an exaggeration :D Again, this is part of the charm, it is part of nature and I wish we could stay a bit longer, but next time! Thanks Hennie :)

To see the workings of a multi-generational family farm, stay in a 170 year old house with beautiful high-quality furniture and fittings, and engage with a kind and gentle-natured farmer and his wife…was wonderful. A gentle desert rain arrived as we got there and set the tone for one of the most restful holidays we have ever had. The farmer’s 2 dogs popped in every now and again and made themselves part of the family. Richard and Anika were accommodating and quick to sort out anything we asked for. The house was spotlessly clean and filled with history from the 1800s. There was a sense of warmth with the people living / working on the farm as well. The drive to Nieu Bethesda was around 15min going up a gorgeous gentle pass which presented something new every time we travelled. The highlight of the stay was walking up the hill behind the house and sitting on the bench overlooking the farm, valley, and mountains at sunset. Thank you Richard and Anika (our kids say hi).

Beautiful place to stay! Such lovely surprise with the home made bread on arrival! Even the river flooding we could still use all the facilities. Caley communicated well and always stayed in touch. There is no cellphone signal but they have wifi!

We had a perfect, restful stay in this little gem. The cottage is carefully sited on a rocky hillside overlooking the surprisingly green valley below. Stephanie was the ideal host, and was available throughout. The best part of this place is the indoor/outdoor lifestyle, highlighted by a verandah that felt larger than the home itself. We highly recommend this tranquil getaway, and look forward to our next visit in the future!

A great farm stop while on your way to Cape Town or if looking for time away from the city. We had a wonderful stay, the accommodation was clean and the kitchen was amazing. The night sky was incredible!

Such a sweet spot nestled in the beautiful landscape of Rock lands. Lefras (and his doggo) we're the nicest hosts, very helpful and friendly and the house is full of charm. Sad we didn't get to stay there longer.

Wow! What an incredible location! Tony and Sharon were excellent hosts. Unfortunately we weren’t lucky with the weather conditions so we spend a bit of time indoors however we weren’t complaining at all as the bed was super clean, comfortable and warm. A very homey feel indeed! The information brochure in the room as well as recommendations by the hosts was also helpful for a walk that we did which was even more breathtaking! The property surrounding the bunkhouse also has a lot of beautiful walks for any busy bodies that don’t want to drive. And for the animal lovers, there are super cute cows roaming around, you might even get lucky and feed Star:) Fresh towels, clean bathroom and a great braai area equipped with everything you’d need for a braai/a stovetop dinner. We had an issue with hot water and they were very quick to resolve our issue, even offering a late checkout on Sunday as compensation!Thank you so much Sharon and Tony for making our first couples trip unforgettable xx

Mukhti is a absolutely incredible experience. The attention to detail in the house is unparalleled, the various areas are all perfectly set for the intended use and you find yourself enjoying the home in different layers be it relaxing by the pool, enjoying the stars from the braai / fire pit area, lounging on the stoep or enjoying some reading in the lounge. The kitchen is perfectly setup for enjoyable cooking experience with every utensil you could possibly need. If you are looking for a calm space to reflect and unwind I can highly recommend Mukhti and cannot wait for our next visit.

There were only 3 of us but the cottage caters for 6. The area is stunning, it had snowed and Hester kept me informed as to the state of the roads due to the snow. The cottage was cosy, had a wood fire and electric blankets so perfect.

Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely stunning! The farm environment was so peaceful and picturesque, a true escape from the everyday. We especially loved the lookout point at the escarpment – the views were breathtaking. And the star gazing at night? Simply amazing! We felt so free and relaxed during our time here. It's a truly special place that we highly recommend."

This is an incredibly special place that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a peaceful city escape. The surroundings are absolutely breathtaking, and the house itself is a true gem—thoughtfully designed and beautifully styled, with every detail carefully considered. Anita, our host, was fantastic. She was incredibly responsive and provided us with excellent recommendations for local activities, including hikes, private wine farm visits, and much more. She even went above and beyond to help us retrieve an item we accidentally left behind. Truly, everything about this experience was a 10/10!

Jenny was a super host. The farm is peaceful and beautiful. The house is clean and everything works really well. Highly recommend. You can have supper in Nieu-Bethesda!
