As the house is protected by the UNESCO World Heritage Site inscription, its structure and facade had to be maintained, which we were happy to do. With a light refurbishment, we remained the most original structure of the house while mixing authentic style and urban style design to the house, in order to create a living experience which is nearest to the life style of a resident living in George Town heritage building.

Hundred Year Old Heritage Shophouse (Ground Floor)

A 100 year old shophouse in the heart of Georgetown. Meticulously renovated from an existing birdhouse to its former glory. All renovation was carried out using recycled hard wood and red bricks. The electrical work and water piping are all exposed. The ground floor is terracotta and furniture has been constructed using cut-offs from roofing beams, old railway sleepers and window frames.
