The Loft is located on the second floor of historic Lawyers Row, circa 1840, in the heart of Centertown Bedford and close to the National D-Day Memorial, Poplar Forest, Smith Mountain Lake, The Peaks of Otter and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We think you’ll love the close proximity to Centertown's local shops and restaurants, and be impressed by the craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into renovating our vintage building. Gloriously private without feeling secluded, this charming guesthouse was totally updated in 2019. Enjoy the peace and quiet. Go for a walk or bike ride on the 28 plus acres or pretty rural lanes. 2.5 miles away is Lake Robertson for activities . Sit on the porch too! On a snowy night, enjoy the wd-burning fireplace . (We will often leave fireplace prepared to light. Gas heating also). Get cozy with the full kitchen, washer/dryer, games and books. DirecTv in the living room and bedroom. too!

This is a Private Guesthouse, "The Cottage at Oakwood." Two(2) bedrooms: 1. Main Bedroom: queen-size mattress new Memory Foam 2. Living room: queen-size sofa/ hideaway bed. NO SMOKING!!$100 CLEANING FEE The cottage is on the left side of the Manor House. ***We gladly accept pets. We request a FEE OF $10/ NIGHT FOR EACH PET. Airbnb does have a place for adding this nominal fee. Just leave it on the TV Desk. Please put your pet in a crate when leaving the cottage. No pets on the furniture.

Newly Remodeled Tiny Barn Studio 3 Miles to LU

PLEASE NOTE our animals have moved back to our new Airbnb farm stay in Bedford. Guests staying with us in Lynchburg can visit our baby goats and petting zoo free of charge at our Peaks of Otter Farm stay. 25 baby goats as of 3-31-25! ROMANTIC, BEAUTIFUL, UNIQUE and COZY is how our guests describe our barn studios. The studio apartments offer private baths, private entrances, kitchenettes with fridge and microwave. We are 3 miles to LU in a great part of town and close to food and shopping.
