A　rustic Japanese village getaway

Experience a stay in a traditional Japanese house, tucked inside the forested mountains of the Yoshino Valley. This converted farmhouse is located in Kawakami Village, the source of the Yoshino/Kino river. The house sits just above an idyllic swimming spot, perfect for families to enjoy the cool, clear waters Guests will have the full property to themselves, which includes a handmade cedar bathtub with views across the river. There is also outdoor space to enjoy barbecuing under the stars.

Please use our kitchen for simple cooking. The nearest stations are Oji Station on the JR Line and Goido Station on the Kintetsu Line. I'll come pick you up until 5pm. Please use the bus to return home. There is a bus stop nearby. If you are arriving by car, there is parking available on site. 「お知らせ」1月、2月の2ヶ月間は気温が冷え込み、道路や水などが凍結の恐れがあるために休みとさせていただきます。3月からのご予約お待ちしております。 奈良の奥大和高原、標高500mの山里に佇む“まこもハウス” 築100年の古民家は一棟貸しです。 宿の周囲には「神の宿る草」ともいわれるまこもの田が広がり、部屋でゆったりと「まこもの風」を感じることができます。 囲炉裏テーブル、また井戸水を薪で焚く五右衛門風呂では　”薬草まこも湯“ が楽しめます。 テレビやwifiはありませんのでデジタルをオフにして、自分の感性をオンにしてみませんか？ マコモの葉の擦れる音、川のせせらぎ、鳥の囀り、カエル達の合唱、鹿の鳴き声などなど自然の心地よい音をお楽しみください。
