Cabin on Cairn Geal Croft, Waternish, Isle of Skye

A cosy, open-plan cabin for two on the Waternish peninsula, overlooking the sea with outstanding views across Loch Snizhort to the ferry port of Uig, and south to Raasay and the mainland. The Cabin is on a small croft/farm and lies within its own garden. The Cabin has a maritime theme, free wifi, plenty of books & maps and a well provided kitchen. The Waternish peninsula offers abundant wildlife, and in the hamlet of Stein, next to the sea, a lovely old pub and a Michelin starred restaurant .

Heatherfield house self catering cabin The Shack

The Shack is a cosy cabin for two that has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Situated in Penifiler, a 10 minute drive from Portree, and close to the shore it has stunning views over Loch Portree. Centrally located on the island, it is an ideal spot to be based. It has a comfortable open plan living room with well equipped kitchen and double, en-suite bedroom. Outside there is a private seating area where, if the weather is behaving, you will be able to see the Old Man of Storr.

Norskye Bothy is a Scandi-Scot inspired hideaway in the heart of the Isle of Skye. Our architecturally designed eco cabin sleeps up to two people, with uninterrupted hill and loch views. The cabin features an open plan living, kitchen and dining space with a separate king size bedroom and shower room. We are centrally located, only 5 miles from Portree. Situated in the idyllic township of Carbost, the Fairy Pools and Talisker Distillery are within a 10 minute drive with Portree just 25 minutes away. From the house, you can take a lovely coastal walk along the shores of Loch Harport. There's lots of places to eat nearby, including Café Cùil, The Old Inn & the Oyster Shed. Or enjoy a cosy night in beside the new wood burning stove!

After four great years of hosting with AirBnB within in our home, we've used the covid hiatus to transform the old croft house into a spectacular and luxurious retreat. In previous reviews, you'll see up to four guests in one room; this has been upgraded to 2 guests in the whole cottage...

Sleeps a maximum of 4 in 2 bedrooms, spacious kitchen/dining room, cosy sitting room, washing machine and tumble dryer in separate utility room. Oil central heating and a wood burning stove. Not suitable for mobility issues as the bedrooms are upstairs or for overly tall people as the doorways are low!
