Up on the Laurel’s Dongola Cabin is a secluded, compact 384 square foot cabin designed to be a place for recreating, writing, relaxing and star-gazing. It sits on the south side of Iron Mountain in the Jefferson National Forest’s Mount Rogers National Recreation Area and takes in the scenic views of Whitetop Mountain and Mount Rogers. Its proximity to sites and towns of middle Appalachia, along with its fresh water, fresh air and relaxed pace make our cabin a lovely spot to visit.

Set on 2 acres out of 15 privately owned the bunkhouse will feel like yours. No wifi but great connection. Outdoor fire pit and indoor wood stove are sure to keep you entertained in both cold and warm weather. Newly added mini split will keep the chill off in winter and heat out in summer. Black bear, wild turkey, and deer are the only visitors you will have. Set atop a large waterfall the sound of the falls is audible throughout the property.

HOUSE IS FINE❤️ Only damage we had was massive trees on driveway.❤️ The view is AMAZING. 6 1/2 Acres Nestled in Blue Ridge Mountains. Blue Ridge Parkway home is situated in the mountains of North Carolina, less than a .3 mile hidden driveway ON the Blue Ridge Parkway. The sunsets are amazing. Just take a scenic drive along the Parkway and enjoy many of the overlooks and views from all around! The home is a perfect place to recharge.
