Jum Rum Place is located only 1.6km from the Kuranda village, North Queensland backing onto Jum Rum Creek Conservation Park where there are numerous species of birds, Striped possums, Suger Gliders, Pademelons with abundance of butterflies including the Ulysses and Cairns Bird Wing. The beautiful Jum Rum Creek Walking Track is close by which takes you into the Kuranda Village, only a 15 minute walk.

Lakeside Loft

The Lakeside Loft is the ultimate relaxing getaway. It is a luxury pole home, nestled in the tree tops. It boasts three levels all with breath taking panoramic views of the Lake. The back yard has direct access to the lake for water sports for most of the year. We have a canoe and kayak for guest use. The closest boat ramp is located at Tinaburra which is only a couple of mins away. Yungaburra village is also a couple of mins drive and it is 15 min to Atherton and just over 1hr to Cairns.

Kuranda Rainforest House

Luxury living in your own four acres of private rainforest. Once seated on the balcony at Kuranda Rainforest House looking down the mighty Barron River, you will immediately feel that you are truly in a private secluded space of your own. You will also most likely catch a glimpse of the beautiful Blue Ulysses butterflies that love to flutter around the rainforest, we’ve purposely planted many species of plants to attract these majestic creatures. Usnea, our Nature, Art and Accommodation Space, is situated on the Evelyn Tablelands, Tropical North Qld. Here a discrete self-contained one bedroom cottage in upland rainforest is surrounded by natural and established gardens, and at 1,160m provides a cool summer and cosy winter retreat. Uniquely the cottage integrates art within and outside. Contemplation, inspiration, privacy and comfort, are all to be experienced, along with exploring our forest and local environmental features.

Singing Birds

Unwind in our peaceful self-contained guesthouse, set on 3 acres of tranquil greenery. Wake to the sound of native birdsong, cool off in the pool, and enjoy the chance to spot red-legged pademelons, striped possums and all the other wildlife surrounding the guesthouse. The guesthouse is private, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring Cairns, Kuranda, Mareeba and the Atherton Tablelands. We live in the main house on the property and are happy to assist if needed.
