Amazing place, amazing hosts. Been staying at Merrijig for many years and this is one of the best homes we’ve stayed in. Kind hosts with complementary food and drinks that were left for us at check-in. Very strongly recommend.

Had a getaway with my partner here and it was truly so amazing, we had so much fun walking around the property and seeing the goats, sheep and chickens! It was truly an amazing place to be! Peter and Jill were so welcoming and also left us with some homemade marmalade🥹❤️🙏🏼‼️ Thank you so much for this much needed rest and for sharing your home with us❤️‼️🙏🏼

The stay was pleasant and as described. The place was clean, check-in was smooth, and communication with the host was straightforward. It had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. Would consider staying again.

An excellent location which suits the needs for large groups of people - everyone was able to have their own space across the three floors while also meeting in comfortable communal spaces to hang out together. A great space with a lot of personality and a very responsive team - we lost power during the stay and the Bright Escapes Team was very quick to answer our queries and link to resources to help us out. A short distance from the town made getting around and engaging in what Bright has to offer very easy, but if you're walking or riding be aware that there are two very big hills leading in and out of the property. Would definitely stay there again, a great space for a holiday.

The unit was clean as recently been updated, with everything you need and close locations to shops and easy access to everything.

Beautiful location that we and our dog loved. So peaceful and relaxing - the perfect way to escape the city for a couple of days. And the cottage itself was super cute but had everything we needed.

We had a fantastic stay at Peak 202 over Easter for a family wedding—John was a wonderful host and the apartment was perfect. Just steps from the village and Chamois ski run, the location couldn’t be better. The views from the floor-to-ceiling windows were stunning, and the space was warm, welcoming, and well-equipped. Our family felt completely at home with three spacious bedrooms, a spa bath, drying room, full laundry, and a great kitchen with everything from a Nespresso machine to a dishwasher. The gas fireplace, Smart TVs, free WiFi, and heated balcony with BBQ made it extra cozy and convenient. Keyless entry and thoughtful extras like games and a secure parking space really stood out. Everything was spotless, stylish, and designed with comfort in mind. Thanks, John, for a memorable and seamless stay—we’ll definitely return to Peak 202!

How’s the serenity? Says it all. Not only an Aussie icon movie, the house lives up to it. The Doon has been a favourite destination for decades and the Castle has been a part of it. The lake is always spectacular whether it be sunrise or sunset, on a wooden deck, with a beer, some music. Absolute perfection !! The Doon Hotel will always be a favourite!! Thank you. Suffer in your jocks! We’ll be back!!

Nicole could not have been more helpful. She was fantastic in that she responded to any requests or messages straight away.

The ideal long weekend retreat away from the city and crowds. Barb was so warm and welcoming and had a fresh loaf of bread, eggs, fruit, coffee and snacks ready for us! Everything is thought of, with the fully equipped kitchenette and fridge, BBQ, board games and a cosy fireplace - couldn't think of anything else we needed. It was Easter weekend so the surrounding areas were busy, but it was so nice to come back "home" to Barb's place, just keep in mind it is about a 35-40min drive from Bright, Beechworth etc. But that's what makes it special, it's so quiet (apart from the farm noises) and the stars were incredible. Her family were visiting and gave us privacy but also were lovely and shared extra eggs from their Easter egg hunt and opening the gates for us. Definitely worth the stay and would highly recommend Barb's farm stay place!

We loved our stay at Cortes cottage. It was a lovely space for 2 adults, 2 kids and small dog. The kids loved the open farm space and playground. The walk to the river was lovely. Very convenient drive to Beechworth and Bright.

My friends and I had a great stay at Sarah’s place. The house is massive and comfortably fits a large group. The views were lovely and Sarah was great to communicate with.

Our stay at Moyhu was lovely, Juliana is an amazing host and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation itself is beautiful, comfy bed, gorgeous styling and we fell in love with the feature tiles! It was very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Our pup was welcomed as much as we were, and she loved watching (and barking at!) the neighbouring cows. We highly recommend staying here with Jules, and we'll definitely stay again!

Secluded, private. Literally in the middle of a huge farm and surrounded by pastures and sheep as far as the eye can see. Beautiful sunset/sunrise and star gazing. Cottage is extremely rustic, so city dwellers might not appreciate it. We are in the country. There are bugs that occasionally make their way inside. There is wildlife outside. There is no TV as advertised. There are no door locks which can feel strange but you are protected by lots of open farmland and you have to drive past the main property to get to the Cottage. It is secure. Hot showers, functional kitchen, soft bed, electricity… nothing to do but put up your feet, stare off at nature and RELAX. It was warm and draft-free inside. You have your own (farm) fenced off huge yard for your dog to enjoy. Small thin dogs may make it through the gaps though. My dog loved running around the yard. Our host was extremely lovely and great at replies. Would go again :)

This was a great place to stay in Rutherglen and Gabrielle is a 5 star host. The only negative we had was out of Gabrielle's control. If you are taking your dog (as we did) please be aware that there are 4 large dogs (at least) in the back neighbours back yard who are very watchful of the backyard at Pomegranate House. Our dog was unable to stay in the backyard due to the nature of the dogs at the back who were able to stand up on the back fence and voice their opinions of our dog as soon as he was out there. Our dog is also large but very timid so the front yard was a great alternative for him and secure when the driveway gate was shut. (Small dogs would be able to escape under that gate). We took him with us everywhere we went and found the wineries and local shops were very pet friendly. Overall a really happy and relaxing stay with our thanks to Pomegranate House

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this stunning property! The beautiful home boasts breathtaking hill views, and its cleanliness and amenities exceeded our expectations. Everything was provided to make our stay truly feel like home. The whole family had a fantastic time lounging by the expansive pool on warm summer days. The outdoor shower and BBQ area were additional highlights, perfect for relaxation and entertainment. The spacious house features generously sized bedrooms and exceptionally comfortable beds, ensuring a restful stay. We highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in the high country. Lastly, our host was incredibly friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. Five stars, without a doubt!

I had the loveliest and most relaxing stay at Jamie + Peter’s place. Sadly, I was very unwell during my stay, however, it is the most relaxing place to unwind, rest and recover. Everything is so clean, beautifully curated, and very cozy - the bed is super comfy. The eggs from their hen and the bread/milk they left for me was life saving as it meant I didn’t have to go out if I didn’t want to! Jamie was so lovely and making sure I was okay and if I needed anything, and is such a lovely human - which I didn’t get to see Peter much but I’m sure he’s the same. Djinni, their dog, is also gorgeous and so sweet. While my stay was short, it’s definitely one of the best airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at in terms of the beauty of the property and also the care of the hosts. I’ll be back again for sure ☺️

We had a truly wonderful one-night stay at this peaceful farm cottage. Even though it was a short visit, it gave us the perfect break to unwind and reconnect with nature. The cottage was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed. We especially loved spending the evening by the outdoor firepit, it was such a beautiful spot to relax, and we were lucky to share it with Max, the sweetest dog. He’s such a gentle soul and he made us smile every time we saw him. We also enjoyed a lovely walk through the paddocks and got to meet some of the animals. Tab, the host, has clearly put a lot of care into creating a space that feels both comfortable and inviting. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and it really made the cottage feel like a home away from home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, heartwarming escape even just for a night!

Such a lovely, relaxing place to spend a weekend catching up with friends! The house was beautiful with a well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds.

Narelle was incredibly easy to contact and responded quickly, making the booking process seamless. The house itself was amazing spacious, clean, and well equipped. The highlight was definitely the beautiful farm setting, with cows and chickens roaming freely. Sitting at the dining table while watching the cows walk past was such a peaceful and unique experience. The rooms and bathroom were generously sized, offering plenty of comfort, and the pool was a fantastic addition for relaxation. The entire stay was truly enjoyable, and we felt so connected to nature. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you Narelle once again.

Lovely place in a gorgeous setting. The sunsets and sunrises over the hills were amazing. It had everything we needed and more - comfy beds, deck with a view and the kids even braved the pool and enjoyed watching the kangaroos and alpacas.

We had one of the best holidays we have had in Victoria in this beautiful house and even better surrounds. Bright in Autumn couldn’t be prettier and Linda’s home was perfect for my husband and I, the kids and my parents in every way. We relaxed, ate amazing food, slept peacefully, shopped, biked, hiked, toasted marshmallows, swam, laughed a lot and just can’t wait to come back.
