Note a security camera at Sandcastles 1 shed monitors the property rear entrance where rubbish bins are stored for security.

1880s Miner’s Cottage in Moonta Mines – Heritage

Step back in time at this 1880s miner’s cottage in historic Moonta Mines. Built over 140 years ago and extended in the early 1900s by the man who built many Yorke Peninsula roads, it still features the dining room, kitchen and bathroom he added. Lovingly owned for 12+ years and renovated twice, the cottage blends original stone walls and low doorways with modern comforts, a cozy wood fire, a well-equipped indoor & outdoor kitchen, and a big backyard perfect for BBQs under the dark night stars.

Lovingly renovated, our shack is a cosy, neat & welcoming space to stay with friends and family - incl. your furry ones! New kitchen, balcony deck, bathroom & furnishings, the shack sleeps up to 9 people across 3 bedrooms. Only a short 10 minutes walk (700m) to the Jetty, The Gen Store & Johnson’s Cove and 15 minutes walk to South Beach.

Continental breakfast on request. Uninterrupted sea views from kitchen, dining and lounge area. Accomodation consists of lounge, dining/family area plus kitchen. Master bedroom, one queen bed, shower, separate toilet and powder room. Happy to have a discussion with regard to bringing your pet. Three minute walk to south beach, jetty, local store and Tavern.
