The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

Experience the tranquility of our country cottage, perfectly positioned amongst native trees. Our Cottage is cosy, newly refurbished and fully equipped. On a nice day a short walk provides breathtaking views of our beautiful mountain. Flights cancelled and need accomodation? We are 5 mins from the airport and may be available to pickup/drop off. Please note : -We are 10 minutes drive to the heart of the city. -Please expect traffic noise -Our home is on the same property -Must love cats!

Our self contained apartment offers unique semi rural accommodation with amazing mountain views suited for tourists & travelers to enjoy all our region offers. Relax in the living area with comfortable lounging, dining table with full kitchen incl. dishwasher. Indulge yourself in a luxury queen size bed. A second bedroom offers a king single. River Belle is set on a working farm only 10 minutes away from the city of New Plymouth. A secluded Glamping site set on 160 acres next to Mangaoraka river. A geodesic dome luxuriously fitted out, is accompanied by a amenities hut, providing a charming kitchen and separate bathroom. The hut has an outdoor bath with view of Mt Taranaki. River Belle Glamping offers truly unique and romantic couples get away. *Please note we use a composting toilet system and we can not host children or pets*

Mill House - Villa on Forgotten World Highway

This lovely villa was built in the early 1900’s by the McCluggage Family, who operated sawmills in the area. Their endeavors included the construction of a tunnel, in 1924, at the rear of the property to provide access to timber on the Whangamomona Saddle where it still remains today. Mill House is a fully furnished, four bedroom/one bathroom home that comfortably sleeps eight. Whether you are travelling through or looking to getaway, Mill House can provide you with tranquility and relaxation.

Well equipped kitchen with gas hob, oven, microwave, TV, Netflix and free wifi. 15-20 mins from New Plymouth. 10 minutes from Airport. 40 mins from White Cliffs Walk, 15 mins to Pukekura Park Festival of the Lights. 35mins to Mt Taranaki. Some book for 1 guest and show up with 6. So we check our door camera. Please be honest.

Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.
