The Cottage at Honey Creek

We loved our stay here. On top of all the basic things you'd want (great host, spotlessly clean, easy to access, spacious, well appointed, easy parking, comfortable, etc.), it has a few extraordinary qualities that make it special. First, its location next to Honey Creek is magical. There's nothing like the sound of creek. Instant healing and relaxation. Second, the hosts have created a paradise for easy birdwatching. Feeders of all types to attract a wide variety of bird species are laid out and carefully maintained. It's magical. We got lucky to be there when Baltimore Orioles were plentiful, and of course they had the perfect feeder in the perfect place for that species. But all of the above isn't worth much if a place isn't designed to take advantage of it, and, wow, this place does just that. There are so many cozy, clever indoor and outdoor nooks for enjoying the creek and the birds in the most intimate way. Amazing.

I went for a weekend getaway, and this place did not disappoint. It's a beautiful, private spot—nice and cozy, with stunning views all around. The host provided clear directions before arrival, making check-in smooth and stress-free. The house rules were straightforward and reasonable, and communication from the host was outstanding—thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely caring. It was clear that a lot of time and attention went into every detail of the space, which made our stay even more special. We had a wonderful time, and I’ll definitely be recommending this place to others. Looking forward to coming back!

We loved our stay at Kristen’s place. The house was very comfortable and it had everything we needed to feel right at home. Although it’s a tiny home, the setup is perfect and feels very spacious. The property is beautiful and peaceful with a creek running through the property. Kristen is a great host and we would definitely love to stay again when we are in the area!

Jesse’s place exceeded my expectations. It was exactly what I needed. Peace and quiet. Beautiful restful views, a walking trail right outside the back door. The swing, the screened in porch, can’t decide which is my favorite. I felt safe and comfortable as a woman alone, the house is quaint and cozy, clean and inviting. I felt “at home” as soon as I walked in. Check-in was easy, tv easy to navigate,Jesse friendly and responsive, restaurants nearby. Definitely recommend this gem. So much so I’m going back in the fall. I went for the view, I wasn’t disappointed. 5 Stars all around.

We enjoyed our stay at the log house. It is beautifully renovated yet gives you a feel you are back in time. We went on a snowy weekend and the fireplace was cozy. We had everything we needed to cook our own meals and decompress. The home was clean and well decorated and we enjoyed watching the horse and buggies regularly passing by the front windows.

Our family absolutely loved this charming barn as a quiet getaway. The hot tub was very clean and worked well. The views, the birds, the firepit, it was all so peaceful. It has everything you need for a comfortable weekend away from home.

I had an amazing stay at Connie's house! The place is huge, spotless, and beautifully maintained. All the furniture is in great condition and of high-end quality, making it super comfortable. The house is filled with natural sunlight in every room, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It features three large bedrooms, offering plenty of space for a relaxing stay. One of the highlights was the smart TVs in every room, all equipped with Netflix and YouTube—perfect for unwinding after a long day. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook, which was a big plus. The backyard is also a great spot for relaxing and offers plenty of privacy. Overall, I highly recommend this place—if I could give it 10 stars, I definitely would!

A Perfect Getaway! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful Airbnb, and I can’t recommend it enough! The house was impeccably clean and well-maintained, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The location is simply beautiful—surrounded by nature, it offered a perfect blend of tranquility and stunning views. Communication with the host was fantastic! They responded to all our messages promptly and even gave us a heads up about lawn care scheduled during our stay. We appreciated the courtesy, especially since we were away from the house that day. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to return! Thank you for a memorable experience! This is our 2nd time staying here and we absolutely love it! Christin is a wonderful host! She responds quickly to messages and is overall great to deal with. The home is extremely clean and in a great neighborhood. We love State College and this home is close to everything.

Air B&Bs often do not look or feel like their website photos make them out to be but this place is an exception. If anything it exceeded our expectations. It is spacious, clean, peaceful and has lots of great outdoor space (balconies and patios). Its nicely secluded but still relatively easy to get to. If you are looking for comfortable and private get away I highly recommend this place

Great location, close to stadium and downtown. We arrive late which made it a bit tricky finding the house, but Dasha was very responsive and helped us locate it quickly. Easy, flexible keypad check-in with private entrance. Great space with lots of room and full kitchen. Would definitely stay again!
