Each of the four houses that make up this expansive complex was designed with sustainable systems and natural materials, for an ambience of luxury that blends into the landscape. And it’s a spectacular landscape, with panoramic views of the sea and coastline around Heraklion. Enjoy those views from sun-drenched outdoor living areas with a swimming pool, lounging and dining furniture, and a barbecue. After sunset, bring out a bottle of Greek wine from the cooler inside and watch the stars come out as you listen to the waves lap at the shore, or settle in by the satellite TV and Wi-Fi indoors. For your convenience, the property also has an office space and laundry. All four houses at this vacation rental—named Callisto, Ganymede, Io and Europa, for Jupiter’s moons—have living and dining areas, as well as fully equipped kitchens. There’s room to gather with the whole group, as well as space for each couple or family to have some private time. Treated well water, solar panels and eco-friendly materials lighten the property’s environmental footprint. Callisto, the largest of the four villas, has three bedrooms: one with a king bed and shared hall bathroom, one with a double bed and shared hall bathroom, and one with twin bunk beds and an en-suite bathroom. Io has one bedroom with a double bed and en-suite bathroom, and one with two twin bunk beds and a shared hall bathroom, while Europa has two bedrooms with king beds and en-suite bathrooms. Ganymede is a honeymoon-worthy one-bedroom retreat with a double bed and en-suite bathroom. Galilean Moons Villa opens right onto a pebble beach, so you’re never more than a few steps from the sea during your holiday, and is a 5-minute drive or less from Koutsoureli and Kalamokanias beaches.
