Remarkable experience! Rustic and quaint with all necessary amenities. Hiking to the Root Glacier was a once in a lifetime experience with the beauty of the fall leaves all around!

Denise's cabin was absolutely perfect for our stay! We were the last stay of the season for this year and are already thinking about our next trip to this magical little place. The wood stove, privacy of the cabin, and foggy mornings were our favorite. Golden Saloon was a hoot. Shout out to the locals for some memorable nights.

Loved our stay at Bluff Cabin while visiting Wrangell-St Elias NP. It was easy to find with the instructions given. Nice to be on the near side of the footbridge so that there was no hauling suitcases across-we were able to drive right close to the cabin. All the amenities were just as expected. There had been lots of rain so the outhouse was more “fragrant” than usual but that wasn’t a big deal. It was clean, the shower room was clean and there was enough hot water for four people showering. The cabin stayed warm and cozy with the wood stove. There were enough windows we didn’t find a need for using the inverter for the solar power until it was dark. Denise was warm and welcoming, gave us a guided tour when we arrived. She also answered several questions before our trip! Only disappointment was we didn’t see any animals bigger than a squirrel while we were there! I would definitely stay here again.

wooow was für eine Hütte. Wir liebten Sie und die Aussicht. Alles war sauber und gemütlich ei gerichtet. Es hat alles was man benötigt. Der Empfang und den Kontakt mit Denise war sehr liebevoll. Die Aussendusche war gut, ich hatte ein bisschen Mühe mit der Einstellung der Temperatur. Es hatte sogar für uns genügend Strom für das Handy zu laden. Wenn man die Natur und das Hüttenlebe liebt, dann ist es perfekt.

Great place to stay! Exactly as advertised. Patrick was really nice and helpful. Wonderful area and really close to the McCarthy footbridge.

Very good! Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Livvi, Mark and their staff were very nice and helpful. Walking down to McCarthy was a bit long actually (20 min), and we didn't realize bathroom were outdoor and shared. But I recommend anyway!

Secluded, peaceful. A unique and fun experience w/ dry cabin for a few nights. Dry from the rain was a blessing. Only issues was dealing w/ swarms of mosquitos on the property. Wish we had some more aggressive measures such as electric devices, routine spraying, odor agents for diminishing the volume of mosquitos so we could fully have enjoyed the patios, fire pits, cooking areas! clearly mosquitos and rural Alaska go hand-in-hand but our stay it would be nice to brainstorm. Loved the outdoor common cooking area! truly enjoyed cooking in peace/quiet and nature. Wish the outhouse was closer to the cabins. Maybe adding one additional would be an adventure in the future.. Lastly - only other request would have been a NICE wheeled wagon or cart to allow family's to transport food, items and gear from the designated parking location to the dry cabins! All in all, enjoyed the experience, would come back and use them again! Well worth it at the end of the road. Easy walk to everything

Location! Location! Location! Very beautiful property located only a few minutes from the McCarthy foot bridge. The tent was beautiful and located a few hundred feet from the river. The sound of the flowing water was great for sleeping. Common kitchen, wash area and toilet were very clean. This place is a gem and we will come back. Denise communicated well with me from the time of booking. She is a great host!
