Cottage in the Cove

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Enjoy both fabulous sunrises, sunsets and views of the mountains that surround you. Sip your first cup of coffee on the spacious screened in porch. Bring your charcoal to grill. Enjoy an outdoor fire (we supply the wood). Well equipped kitchen is begging to be used. Rollaway beds in the closets. Sofabed in great room. Washer, Dryer are available for your use. We are only 10 minutes from I-77 and I-81 freeway. Innkeepers live on site.

New River Trail Cottage

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away offering free river access. (Please note that the river is not directly accessible from the property). It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

Rustic Rooster Room (at Dream Rock Silo)

We have been renovating an old 1950’s dairy barn since 2013. We fell in love with this location because the barn is set in a beautiful valley in the Appalachian Mountains. You have to drive through the creek to get to the barn. We built this private Rustic Rooster Room on the creekside of the barn with its private entrance. The room is perfect for families to come enjoy the outdoors! We also have 2 other Suites available: Dream Rock Silo, sleeps 2 Creekside Bungalow, sleeps 4

The Boat House

The Boat House is a newly remodeled studio space. It’s a unique place to stay, located on a private dead end road right on the water with beautiful views it’s 5 minutes from I 81. Perfect for Virginia Tech home sporting events. It’s also perfect for Virginia Tech and Radford University Graduations, weekend or weekly family getaway. You will have access to the dock on the property for fishing and swimming, there is available space at the dock if you have your own watercraft.

Campside Cottage

Campside Cottage--a vacation retreat located across from Camp Burson at the entrance of Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, Virginia. Relax around the campfire, hike or bike the many trails, lounge on the beach with a good book, or cast your line to catch a big one! Enjoy the beautiful views of the Appalachian mountains while paddleboarding or kayaking Hungry Mother Lake. Don't forget to go shopping or sample the restaurants of America's Coolest Hometown! Reclining couch, TV w/ Roku and DVDs (no cable), games, and several books to help you unwind and relax. Cot available for third guest. Now with WiFi!
