Staying at the “Beach Break”, you are only meters from the beach with the sound of waves and a beautiful view of the whole bay from your own front deck, for surfing the great waves or playing with the children in the streams meandering down the beach Don't forget that BBQ on the deck to finish the day.

Knights View Retreat - Tutukaka Coast

This unique retreat is surrounded by native bush and offers stunning views of the Poor Knights Islands. Our private guest house includes a kitchenette with microwave, kettle, toaster, bar fridge, air fryer, and slow cooker. A tiled bathroom with a walk-in shower and heated towel rails and a large private decking area with BBQ. There is an outdoor shower and drying area for dive gear/wetsuits with plenty of room for those wanting to bring their surfboards or kayaks.

Perched above Staffa Bay on the stunning Tutukaka Coast, this 1970s Warwick Lee–designed home is a true Kiwi bach — full of character, cosy, and surrounded by native bush with sweeping views over Woolleys Bay. Nestled among nikau palms and birdlife, this peaceful treehouse-style retreat offers direct beach access via a private track (just 25 metres from the house to the sand). The magical Whale Bay Reserve is also just a 5-minute walk away.
