Charming Waterfront Cottage on Historic Property

Enjoy a peaceful get-away in a beautifully renovated, historic cottage. The 115 acre property is on a peninsula with over 2 miles of shoreline. This charming home has water access, trails, a canoe, a hammock, and a lovely grilling patio. The cottage is on the private grounds of Whitehall Mansion, built in 1764 as the home of Governor Sharpe. The farm is used for horse boarding and private weddings. Nearby attractions include Annapolis, the US Naval Academy, Washington D.C., and Baltimore.

But when you slide open the pair of two-story barn doors, you find a beautiful modern guesthouse full of light from the wall of windows facing the river. The setting is incredibly peaceful, and is a wonderful romantic escape or family getaway.

Get away from it all when you stay under the stars. Escape the hustle and bustle but still be close to home. We bought this barn 6 years ago and have slowly been upgrading land/barn over the years. Last 2 years was lived in and now ready to share. We will upgrade as time goes on. Walkable to pier ( heavily damaged in winter storm ) but still walkable to water and boat entrance. Use to camp outside and enjoy a fire. If it rains or just to cold enjoy a beautiful renovated barn.

Established in the early 1800's, the Harvey Farm was a dairy farm for more than a century, changing to a potato farm in the 1900's, providing potatoes to Snyder's of Hanover.

The Miller's House is a quaint and beautiful, newly restored two-bedroom house that sits on a small river and is also a national historic landmark. The house has been painstakingly restored recently, with modern amenities you'd expect such as all-new appliances and high speed WiFi. Proximity to the Gunpowder Falls for fishing or tubing, the NCR trail (less than .2 mile away) and endless roads to bike on make it a great escape.

Located on 115 acres along the Manokin River, the Homestead offers full access to Sugar Water Manor's property, including kayaks, the pool, and opportunities to join the farm crew, collect eggs, or harvest produce. The Red Barn

The Red Barn is located in a very rural setting about 10 miles from Gettysburg. The Red Barn is approximately 1/2 mile off the main road and within a stone's throw of the Mason Dixon Line. If you are looking for a quiet space with not super internet this is the place. Plenty of books to read, miniature donkeys to watch playing with their border collie pal and on a clear night - see some awesome stars!
