You know when someone says "the pictures don't do it justice"? That perfectly describes this rental. An absolutely amazing house, with tons of space to hang out and spread out. Comfortable beds, plenty of linens, and thoughtful touches in the kitchen and bathrooms. I've stayed at almost 20 rentals in the Potsdam area and I think this may have rocketed to the top on my first visit. I can wait to see it in the summertime! VERY responsive hosts, including answering questions and plowing the MASSIVE driveway and shoveling the path to the entrance.

Josée est une hôte incroyable, accommodante, réactive et extrêmement accueillante. Elle est venue nous rendre visite à notre arrivée pour nous présenter le logement et nous parler de son histoire. Elle a prit le temps de tout nous expliquer clairement et répondre à nos questions. ☺️ Le chalet est absolument magnifique, tout équipé, spacieux, chaleureux et très confortable. Nous étions 11 personnes pour la fête à mon copain et nous avons eu un beau moment entre amis à pouvoir profiter des différentes avantages du logement: spa, pit à feu, magnifique vue sur la rivière, jeux de société, etc. Je vous recommande fortement la visite de cet endroit, c’est extrêmement propre et on ressent toute l’amour mise dans les détails pour rendre le chalet un lieu convivial et accueillant pour ses visiteurs. Merci Josée pour le bel accueil et les beaux souvenirs qui se sont créés au sein de votre havre de paix. ❤️ PS: Nous allons nous ennuyer du beau Nino!!! 🐈

This cabin is in the perfect location.. private and peaceful. We had a wonderful time ice fishing on the lake right outside the cabin. The house had everything you could want and was super cozy with the fireplace. We’ll be back for sure!

My friends and I had a great time at the chalet. It was clean, cozy, private and to our suprise much more spacious then what it seems from the pictures ! Dai Juan was communicative and flexible. The instructions to get to the chalet and for the check-in were very clear.

Absolutely loved the place very homey, beautiful views of Titus Mountain perfect for my family ski vacation. Denise is so responsive and flexible. We will definitely rent again when we need to stay in Malone NY.

Eugene’s place was very clean and had everything we needed. He was very responsive, Super accommodating and helpful as well. My son and I had a great time on the water in the pedal boat and he loved the hot tub! (Which I will add was also very clean) If you choose to stay at this relaxing, quiet and enjoyable place, it is suggested to do groceries prior to coming into town as it is quite expensive at the towns grocery store and if you’d like to use the fire pit, bring your fire wood as it is not provided. Thank you Eugene! We enjoyed our stay and were sad to go :)

Relax on Butternut Bay

Third stay at Butternut Bay, and it truly does feel like a home away from home. We have such special family memories because of Butternut Bay and its owner, first Jeanne, and now Meagan who is continuing her legacy--and it really does feel like that. Meagan cares that your time at Butternut is one you will remember. We thoroughly enjoyed her sharing of the St Lawrence Seaway map online, so we were able to track and learn more about the ships that were passing, day and night! Looking forward to our next stay, and more amazing family moments. Thank you Meagan!

Serene getaway in a log cabin overlooking the bay

Second visit to this lovely home. Very comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. Took advantage of the hot tub, had a campfire and spent time on the deck with friends. Loved the fenced in area for the dogs! Highly recommend!

Hi Bin and Li, Just wanted to send a huge thank you for hosting our family reunion and civil wedding. The house was perfect—cozy, welcoming, and just a few minutes from our family home in Ottawa, which made everything so convenient. Every guest loved the vibes of the house, especially the event hall. It was beautifully set up and created the perfect atmosphere for our ceremony and reception. The BBQ dinner was a hit, and everyone had a blast enjoying the meal together. A special shoutout to the lovely lady who took care of the cleaning. She was not only efficient but also incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring everything was spotless and comfortable. Your place has definitely earned a spot on our Ottawa Airbnb favorites list. We’re so grateful for the wonderful experience and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful and accommodating place to host special events. Thanks again for everything.
