We are also about an hour from State College and are in a great location for Penn State Football games if you like to avoid high prices and crowds.

Atop a meandering mountain road, this unique chalet has treetop views, a 30-foot-high living room, and a open bedroom with a king bed. Lots of natural light filters in from skylights and windows. A spiral staircase adjoins both decks. The lower level has a relaxing hot tub with a privacy wall and patio furniture. A cable railing incloses the deck for an unobstructed view of nature.

Close to hiking, fishing, biking and more. Trough Creek State Park, Tatmun Run and Raystown Resort are just a few easily accessible activities. Day trip possibilities are the 9/11 Memorial in Somerset, Bedford Springs Resort & Spa and the historic Jean Bonnet Tavern. Maximum six guests.

We have extensively remodeled this special home and brought it forward from the 1960s while maintaining its character, including the original wrought iron railing and open vaulted living room. We've also incorporated some elements of Altoona's history into the home. It's the perfect cozy and welcoming space to rest and relax whether traveling for work, visiting family, or exploring the beautiful surrounding area.
