We live in the adjoining house on the property, so help is nearby if needed, while your accommodation remains private and self-contained. There is still 5G reception available at the suite.

Umatah Retreat Chalet

Umatah means "you matter". Umatah to us, Umatah to yourself, Umatah to those around you and Umatah to the environment. Umatah is part of the original State Brick Works that was closed down in the 1940’s after their excavations hit an underground spring. The property runs on organic principles and has a mango orchard, apiary, vegetable wicking beds plus various other fruit and nut trees. There is a large waterhole, landscaped gardens and endless native bushland.

This quiet self-contained home is guaranteed to provide you with an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The cull de sac location is perfect for a cosy and quiet “home away from home” and the private backyard area is an ideal place for you to have your morning coffee. We are positive that once you have experienced our home, it will become your regular destination! My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).

The sea is located a few minutes walk away at the end of the street! As is the popular kite-surfing destination "The Pond". Our older style home is located in the coastal suburb of Safety Bay (Rockingham) and is furnished with comfort in mind. There is a fenced back yard with grass and gardens for adults, kids and dogs to enjoy. Penguin Island, dolphin tours and fantastic beaches, restaurants and cafe are on your doorstep!
