Welcome to pirate 8！You only need to take 10 minutes walk-on ferry to get to Protection Island from Nanaimo downtown. Immediately after landing on the Protection Island, you can see this beautiful house. We provide you with three bedrooms and four washrooms (including two bathrooms). Whether you are in the master bedroom or the living room , you can enjoy the wonderful ocean views. Or you can sit in the garden at the door, breathe the soft sea breeze, and listen to the sound of birds.

Sea View: 2 Doubles + Couch + Powder Room

Our Seaview Suite is a light-filled 600 sq ft retreat with two double beds and a convenient powder room (toilet + sink, no shower). Ideal for short stays, it offers comfort and two separate beds while providing access to our shared amenities. Situated closest to our lowest decks, you feel as if you’re part of the ocean —amazing spot for storm watching!! Guests enjoy 6.3 acres of forested privacy, 180° ocean views, ocean-view hot tub, sauna, outdoor shower, and ample deck spaces.

Ocean View Suite: King Bed + Adjoining Living Room

Our Oceanview Suite is a spacious upper-level retreat featuring a king bed, ensuite with double sinks, and sweeping ocean views. The adjoining open-concept games lounge includes a sectional sofa, pool table, and big-screen TVs — perfect for relaxing. Please note: the lounge, while private to this suite, is open to the level below via a half wall and staircase. Guests also enjoy access to Villa Sol’s shared ocean-view hot tub, cedar sauna, outdoor shower, gardens, and decks

Shared: ocean-view hot tub, cedar sauna, outdoor shower, fire pit & decks—perfect for couples, friends, retreats & nature lovers.
