Mountain View A-Frame Lynchburg/Coleman Falls

Our A-Frame is solar powered and surrounded by beautiful outdoor space. Inside a queen size bed, a twin bed, a large sofa and a cot. Outdoor sleeping we have a double person hammock with mosquito netting. We have NO running water, but supply a free standing cooler and basin for washing as well as an outdoor camp shower. There is NO kitchen, but we supply a camp stove, and a gas grill and a fire pit. Square footage of the A-frame is 600 sq. feet . Located on Green Needles Christmas Tree Farm.

Blue Barn Cottage on the Avenue

The Blue Barn Cottage is a private and cozy 2 bed. 1 bath. backhouse centrally located to everything in town: 8 min to Liberty Univ, 5 min to Univ of Lynchburg, 9 min to downtown. Just off Memorial Avenue in the Fort Hill neighborhood gives easy access to groceries, restaurants, and shopping. Full kitchen, tv with local channels as well as Roku, off street parking and climate controlled. Great for families, LU intensives, traveling nurses, and anyone needing a home base while visiting the area.

Off the Blue Ridge Pkwy Explore Park, quite and private but just mins from Roanoke with its fine dining, bike-able greenway network, historic downtown, hospital, shopping, adventure sports, history and romance. Stocked with everything you need for a romantic weekend, family get-way, or business.

A fabulous getaway with the comforts of home. The cottage is unique with loft bedroom, huge deck and fire pit. Recently internet access has been added The field is perfect for ballgames, disc golf or star gazing. The creek will lure you in. A catfish pond waits over the hill. With miles of trails, the Bluff is a perfect place for botany or photography or plain old serenity. Note: there’s no TV, children must be supervised at all times and alcohol/tobacco/etc are not allowed on the property.

Scott School Cottage Stay at Scott School

Scott School was a Campbell County one-room school from 1905 to 1928. In 2010, Scott School was renovated and serves as a lovely tea room and quiet location for guests. The cottage is complete with two bedrooms (one twin, one full), central HVAC, full kitchen, and televisions. Points of interest nearby are: Red Hill-last home and burial place of Patrick Henry (5 miles), University of Lynchburg (30 miles), Liberty University (25 miles), Randolph College (30 miles), and Appomattox (22 miles).

The Cottage at Savernake, located on hwy 501 on the South end of Buena Vista, VA on Savernake Farm, offers 1 br, 1 bath, beautifully updated kitchen, charming living room with pull out couch, and washer/dryer. Conveniently located near Southern Virginia University. The Cottage is centrally located between Lexington, Glasgow, Natural Bridge, with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Appalachian Trail.

Charming Renovated 1930's Soapstone Workers' Bungalow Relaxing, peaceful getaway in gorgeous Nelson County. Adjacent to a large hay field which leads down to a private branch of the Rucker's Run with excellent fishing. The cottage is at the end of a quiet country lane with few nearby houses. The newly renovated home was initially built to house workers from a soapstone quarry located on the property. During the remodel, we even found rationing coupons from 1945 hidden in the walls!

Little Gallery House Near Natural Bridge

The Little Gallery House, near Natural Bridge, is part of an old Civilian Conservation Corps Camp, then juvenile detention center, now a campground and artist community, called Thunder BRidge. There are 100 acres to explore, bordering the Jefferson National Forest, with hiking trails and just 2 miles from the James River. This would be an ideal place for family to meet if some of you want to camp and others would like a real house. There is a queen bed and a day bed.

A Perfect Country Getaway

Heron Hill 49 is a place for people who want to unplug, get away, and appreciate the quiet of country life. It’s an ideal space to relax or to work without distractions. Fiber optic internet is provided; cell service is limited. (We recommend wi-fi calling.) Guests will enjoy walking the property, following Spring Creek, and exploring the remains of an old, hand-built stone dam in the woods. Birdwatchers will find an abundance of species.

Carol's Cottage is the closest accommodation to the Virginia Horse Center at 1/2 mile to the main entrance. The Cottage overlooks the Oak Hill section of the VHC. We are just two miles from Lexington, W&L and VMI. We are 5-20 minutes from most of the wedding venues in the area. ***PLEASE inquire with us regarding RATES for Graduation and Parents weekends.***
