Franconia Notch, 10-15 minutes drive to hiking, skiing at Loon or Cannon , 30 min to Waterville Valley. Snowshoe out the door by the river. My Swiss heritage makes me a supurb cleaner. Wifi. Parking. Cozy, quirky, and very convenient! Welcome to our humble, pet friendly cottage in the White Mountains. This unique cottage duplex is our home base for hiking, skiing, and paddling, and we're happy to share it with you! Tucked away on the edge of the village of North Woodstock, our modest retreat is a stones throw from all the excitement the region has to offer. Take a short walk to the nearest swimming hole, explore the National Forest, and be back in time to enjoy dinner on the back deck!

Basecamp in the White mountains

This small cabin has been re-built with new pine paneled walls and ceiling, bunk beds, carpeting, electricity, a new Eco-outhouse!, solar shower and It is located at the edge of a field about 100 yards from our home. It is a perfect base camp for hikers 12 miles south of Franconia notch trail heads and Appalachian Trail crossing. The cabin is most often used by hikers who want a base camp near many of the most popular hiking trails near Franconia Notch. It is a peaceful and quiet place.

We go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. (Please note our mattress is FIRM and there is a long flight of outdoor stairs to access the suite.) This beautiful studio space is a barn loft with private deck off back. Open concept with cathedral ceilings, ceiling fans and fully equip kitchen. Large walk in shower and queen size bed. Just one mile from North Woodstock town and 15 minutes to hundreds of trails and attractions. Skiing at loon 15 minutes, Ice castles next door. ALSO NO hidden costs or cleaning fees added (we figure you should see what you are paying up front!).

Originally built by our grandparents in the 1960's, this A-frame serves as the perfect home-base for adventuring and exploring all that the White Mountains have to offer; skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, hiking, biking, breweries, dining, floating the Saco, leaf-peeping and the like!
