This stylish place to stay is perfect for family or group trips featuring 2 bedroom, queen sized bed in the master bedroom and two king single beds with a trundle for an extra guest, combined bath & shower, a spacious lounge room with comfy leather couches for you to enjoy movie nights, full kitchen facilities for you to cook yummy dinners. Enjoy your morning coffee on the covered patio, big yard for your pet, there is ducted air conditioning throughout the whole house & gas heating if need it.

Stay on the opalfields, off grid and next door to the iconic Ridge Castle. Deceptively rustic from the outside, the Knights Quarters is an elegant open plan apartment featuring a full sized kitchen, large bathroom and a Queen and King single bed with luxe organic cotton linen. Enjoy the views and relax by the fire-pit (byo wood) under billions of stars. This is a genuine camp on the Ridge with solar power so has no heating or air-conditioning, there are fans for summer and blankets for winter.

The Old School House

Come and stay in The Old School House at Lightning Ridge – circa 1912, relocated from town to the Three Mile opal field. It’s in a great position with bitumen road and 500 meters on a gravel road used by miners. Nestled in bush land, with kangaroos, birds and amazing night skies. This is not your luxury getaway, but a unique experience steeped in history on the opal fields of Lightning Ridge with warm hospitality. There is air conditioning in every room. You are Welcome! Find opal at the back door of our delightfully renovated 20ft caravan, aptly named THE Tardis! Including 2 comfy beds (double + single), air con & heating and basic cooking facilities, you will be pleasantly surprised by this unique opalfield 'cara-camping' retreat. A short drive to town and all attractions THE Tardis is just far enough away to be peaceful but close enough to be accessible Your hosts are locals with many passions. Please note we do not accept pets onsite.

Treat yourself to a true 'ridge camp experience, while enjoying 5 star comfort, only 1.5ks from the town centre. A striking self contained cottage, completed January 2021, surrounded by established desert garden and native bushland. Super comfy inside and outside you can relax in the bush kitchen, enjoy a game of table tennis or watch a romantic sunset on the front verandah. Your privacy is assured however I live close by and am available to welcome you and answer any questions.

Potch Retreat

This is a fully self contained unit that will be your home away from home. The bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fan, TV and built in robes. There is also an open plan living area featuring a sofa and a couple of single couches where you can relax and watch some TV. Full kitchen facilities allow you to cook up a storm and enjoy your meal at the dining table. Bathroom includes toilet, hot/cold shower and a wash basin. The Reverse Cycle A/C ensures a comfortable stay year round.

The Bimble Box - opal field retreat

The Bimble Box is a much loved opal miners' camp, built from stone, conveniently located and beautifully renovated to create a light-filled, open-plan interior with stunning views. Inside there's a relaxing lounge area, large dining/work table, modern kitchen and comfortable new beds. This beautiful little off-grid opal field home is solar powered, water conserving, clean, comfortable and just a short drive or leisurely walk to the shops, cafés and hot artesian baths.

A delightful holiday home that is located in the main street of Lightning Ridge. Perfect place to stay whilst exploring Lightning Ridge and the opal fields. Roomy home with self contained kitchen, main bedroom, guest bedroom, two verandahs - front and back of the house and the inner sanctuary being the living room. Clean and spacious. Parking for one car, tandem parking if there are two vehicles or parking on the street. Fully fenced property and garden.

The house is on a large private block and is a 1-2 minute drive to the shops and post office. The home is fully furnished, and has a Tranquil garden next to the freestanding pergola with outdoor setting. We have 3 airconditioners for you to enjoy inside the house.
