If we could give more stars we would! We had a lovely time at Christina and Karin’s Airbnb. It’s a small cosy cottage with a bed, a table and chairs and the things you need to have a meal. You can’t really cook, but there is a microwave. In a separate cottage there is a nice clean bathroom and a fridge and freezer you can use. Christina and Karin gave us a warm welcome and offered us the option to buy breakfast and dinner, made by Christina who has been working as a cook. We chose the breakfast and would definitely recommend doing that! Because it was raining we could have breakfast in their veranda. It was lovely to sit there, with a view of the lake, a heat lamp and yummy breakfast. Even their sweet little dog came to sit with us (they keep her inside if you wouldn’t like that). We had some lovely conversations with them and really felt so welcome. If we’re ever in the area again we’ll definitely come by again! Thank you so much Christina and Karin!

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The house is spacious both inside and out, offering plenty of room to relax. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything you need for cooking. The view of the lake is beautiful, and the location is convenient for exploring nearby spots. One thing to note for non-Swedes: the closest 24-hour shops require a Swedish bank id for access, so we did all of our shopping in Lidköping. Overall, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay—highly recommended!

Fredrik's home was a joy! The expansive view across Lake Vänern included bird life, small boats and magnificent sunsets. We felt right at home - the kitchen was well equipped, the living area was cozy and the bedrooms were comfortable. Outdoors, we enjoyed it all - the dock and small row boat, the sauna and hot tub. Fredrik's home was private, impeccably clean, uncluttered and filled with natural light. We also discovered many tranquil, easy trails in the surrounding area that took us to other points along the lake. Some of the trails were even within walking distance of Fredrik's home. Groceries, local restaurants and a few cafés were only 15-30 minutes away by car. Coming from Annapolis, Maryland in the USA, some of the hikers we met on the trails asked why were in this part of Sweden. Our answer was easy - it's a magical area and we loved staying in Fredrik's place!

Värden Jeanette och hennes man Stig var mycket trevliga och hjälpsamma. Vi trivdes väldigt bra under vår vistelse och dom var väldigt behjälpliga till allting. Trevligt boende med en fantastisk fin utsikt över Vänern. Rekommenderas starkt att åka hit om man vill koppla av och bara njuta av tillvaron.

Smuk beliggende hus lige ned til søen. Vi nød den skønne udsigt og slappede 100% af. Smukke omgivelser som indbød til gåture og tur i vandet. Vi nød at bade hver dag, og vi nød også solskinnet i dejlige kroge på terrasserne. Vi kommer helt sikkert igen.

It’s a hidden gem of the area! It’s extremely cozy and makes you feel at home on a spot. There’re a lot of adorable details across the house that only somebody who cares for creating wholesome experience could add. The house feels bigger inside than it looks from outside. It’s easy to find and wifi works well. It was our getaway from the city so the walks around were magnificent and getting to the lake is less than 40min through the nature reserve. We also had a very good experience with getting all the tips from Sofie. She’s very communicative and eager to help. We wish to come again and use the charm of that little cottage once again!

Ordning och reda. Lugnt men en bit från staden. Och en trevlig värdinna.

Geweldig verblijf gehad. Huis is ruimer dan de foto’s doen vermoeden en zo mooi als de plaatjes. Prachtige rustige omgeving met veel leuke koffietentjes en bezienswaardigheden op korte afstand. Veel wandelingen mogelijk in de buurt. Wij verbleven hier met onze dochter van 1 en aan alles was gedacht (stoel, bedje, speelgoed)

Perfect for a family with (small) children because of the garden and no traffic. Large rooms in a Swedish vintage style. Fully equiped spacious kitchen. Skara Sommaland, city of Lidköping and Låcko castle within half an hour drive. Go-Karts in Lidköping is also recommendable.
