Rabina was very friendly and open. She shared some local stories, recommendations, and the best places for hiking near Kathmandu. The room was clean and spacious, with big windows and good natural light. There was easy access to a very beautiful and spacious rooftop from which you can see the city and the Monkey Temple. My stay occurred during the Holi festival. Rabina and her family gathered all the guests on the rooftop for a morning celebration. We put colours on each other, danced, and enjoyed very tasty homemade food. It was my first Holi festival, and I felt very welcomed; from the beginning of the day, I was in a festive mood! Overall, it’s a beautiful place where I felt welcomed by a very warm and helpful family, and I felt right at home :)

I was able to enjoy a pleasant three-week stay in Nepal thanks to Niroj and his place. He was a very friendly host ready to address my needs at all times. Also, Patan Durbar Square and surrounding neighborhood seemed to be the spot for people who want to experience the energetic Nepali city life.

Lovely place and what a sound dude Nirbhav is! I was lucky enough to stay in Kathmandu for a couple days around the new year, and Nirbhav gave me some tips for local stuff to do and gave me a lift around on his bike which he totally didn’t have to do! Also his mum was around one morning and cooked me a lunch which was super kind of her. Wish I was able to stay longer so I could get to know Nirbhav better!

Ich halte mich kurz und knapp. Wir haben dir Unterkunft mit 6 Leuten gebucht für 2 Wochen. Die Gegend ist ruhig und sicher, es gibt direkt einen kleinen Laden um die Ecke. Das Beerville bietet leckeres Essen und Getränke zu angenehmen Preisen an, sodass man mal auch länger verweilt. Die Unterkunft ist pro 2 Zimmer mit einem Badezimmer ausgestattet, die Duschköpfe sind gewöhnungsbedürftig aber ansonsten gibt es keine Beanstandung! Schnelle Rückmeldungen vom Host und durchgehend ist eine Ansprechperson verfügbar/erreichbar. Bei einem erneuten Besuch in Kathmandu werde ich diese grüne Oase erneut besuchen/buchen. Wirklich schönes Fleckchen inmitten des "Stadtchaos", wie ein kleiner Ausflug in die Natur, wenn man in die Unterkunft einkehrt!

Rajmi's place, like Rajmi herself, is thoroughly charming! The house is located in a quiet - actually silent, at night - neighborhood, within easy walking distance of the Thamel tourist area. The room and attached bathroom are clean, with a big bed and super-comfy duvet. It was cool inside, despite the relatively warm weather outside. The Internet is fast: 20 Mbps, up and down. Rajmi picked me up from the airport (for less than a normal taxi, I'm sure), welcomed me with a cool drink, booked my bus ticket, and then escorted me to the bus station the next morning (after a tasty breakfast of tea, fruit, and puff pastry.) She also gave me a personal, walking tour of Thamel. (Her English is excellent.) The evening ended with tea and biscuits in her kitchen. Simply amazing! Honestly, I cannot imagine how Rajmi, a fully employed professional, will be able to find the time to provide this level of service for all her guests. But I'll be forever grateful that she found the time for me.

Quartier plein de charme, il est agréable de marcher dans les ruelles et de se rendre à pied jusqu'à 2 temples importants. Quartier calme. La literie est très bien, la chambre est assez grande pour utiliser le bureau et même faire du yoga (il y a aussi le toit). la famille est très aidante. j'ai même été accompagnée lors d'un déplacement commun, ce qui a été tres rassurant. merci pour ça.

Cosy Rooftop Double Room with nice view

I had the rooftop room which has a spectacular view. The building is a 10 min walk from Thamel, the only disadvantage is that the road is not paved so during monsoon it is extremely muddy all the time. Rabina and her family are very friendly and helpful people. The place is highly recommended.
