Starbuck Cottage

The Starbuck Cottage is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway during any season. Located across the street from Lake Minnewaska Beach this one bedroom, one bath cabin features beautiful sunrises on the front patio overlooking the lake & sunsets in the backyard sitting by the firepit. Bring your boat, fish house, & snowmobiles for endless year round outdoor activities. Great walleye & pan fishing plus 3 waterfront restaurants. The living room has 2 full size beds for additional sleeping spots.

Treehouse (LOTR) Stargazer Skycabin

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. Joan and I live on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r." Diversity is welcome.

Walleye on Lake Osakis (kayaks/games/year round)

Enjoy the best of lakeside living at our cabin in Osakis, MN! Just 15 min from Alexandria, this cozy cabin is surrounded by lakes and offers access to hundreds of miles of bike and snowmobile trails—many of which are just steps from the cabin. From June through the end of September, you're welcome to bring your small fishing boat and use our boat lift. We also provide free kayaks! Winter Stay? You’ll stay warm and cozy thanks to our brand-new furnace—perfect after a day on the snowy trails.

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

The perfect solution for cabin fever! This romantic & private log cabin overlooks beautiful Diamond lake. Two queen size beds, one is adjustable w/massage. Hand-hewn rock gas fireplace, massage chair, fully stocked modern kitchen, wifi, YouTube TV (local channels & espn) & streaming. Enjoy the gazebo & hot tub next to the cabin throughout the seasons. I live across the street & clean and sanitize, so I know it is done properly. Note: Optional (additional charge) game room available.
