FNQ Blooms Tropical Flower Farm Lodge

The Tropical Flower Lodge sits at the foothills of Mt Bartle Frere, surrounded by lush rainforest and vibrant tropical gardens. Our property is also a working flower farm, home to a wide variety of Heliconias and Gingers. The lodge is completely self‑sustaining. Fresh spring water flows though the property a gravity‑fed system, our on‑site waterfall generates clean hydroelectric power. Guests often tell us it feels like staying in a hidden, eco‑friendly sanctuary where nature does all the work.

A self contained, one bedroom cottage with all amenities on the edge of Herberton on the Atherton Tablelands. The cottage has a verandah with bush views and BBQ. Part of a secure 1 hectare (2 acres) estate, the cottage is 200m from the main historic homestead. There is plenty to do here, including museums, bush walking and pack donkey treks, day trips to some real outback towns and other attractions, all only 1.5 hours' drive from Cairns International Airport. Adjoined by rainforest, our place is handily positioned between beautiful Bingil Bay Beach (200m) and the wonderful Bingil Bay Café (200m). The accommodation is the bottom part of a large Queenslander house with access to the pool and extensive gardens. With its own access and carport you are completely self sufficient but we are available to lend you bicycles or point you to the walking tracks. Be active or do nothing, we are private but not remote.

Our simple, comfy retro shack has everything you need for a chilled out beachside stay. You can even bring your boat, there's plenty of room for a boat trailer on our block and river and beach boat ramps close by.
