Welcome to our private rainforest guesthouse. Nestled atop a hill in the rainforest. Wildlife surrounds with peacocks, bush turkeys, scrub fowl, eagles and other native animals. Kuranda, home to the Indigenous Djabugay people is tucked away within an ancient Rainforest. Jum Rum Place is located only 1.6km from the Kuranda village, North Queensland backing onto Jum Rum Creek Conservation Park where there are numerous species of birds, Striped possums, Suger Gliders, Pademelons with abundance of butterflies including the Ulysses and Cairns Bird Wing. The beautiful Jum Rum Creek Walking Track is close by which takes you into the Kuranda Village, only a 15 minute walk.

Positioned in the heart of Kewarra Beach this beach house is the perfect getaway. Beautifully renovated and has everything you could imagine for comfort, style and entertainment. Central to everything however well appointed that if you want to just hide out by the pool you can. The house is decked out with a pool, BBQ, split systems WiFi and much more. Walking distance to local shops and beach, moments away from popular tourist areas in Cairns and a short drive to the beautiful Port Douglas.

Casa Kuranda in the Rainforest

Our serene abode is a 5 min drive or a pleasant 30-40 min stroll to the picturesque village of Kuranda and the mighty Barron Falls. Your private quarters contain a kitchenette, bathroom and sizeable comfortable bedroom. On the deck you can sit peacefully, relax and observe the native wildlife; red-legged pademelons, brush turkeys and small reptiles. You will be delighted with the chorus of bird song and take great pleasure in sighting vibrantly colourful tropical birdlife and butterflies.

New self contained private unit with amazing view

A private and self contained guest unit, detached from to the main house with It’s own private entrance. It also has a private undercover area directly under the guest unit. Quite secluded location with elevated 180 degree views. Caravonica is a central location to a number of attractions around the Cairns area. You can walk to Lake Placid or Skyrail and only a short drive to Kuranda Rail at Freshwater. You can drive to Kuranda or Cairns City in twenty minutes.
