Welcome to The Brightside ! Our guest cabin is located 15 minutes from downtown Port Angeles and one mile from shorelines of beautiful Freshwater Bay! This cozy cabin is your place to relax and enjoy the nature of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. One mile to the beach and boat launch. Minutes to Discovery trails, Olympic National Park, Hurricane Rige base, Hiking, mountain biking trails , fishing, mushroom hunting, kayaking spots , surf breaks, winery's and many more fun activities close by!

Soak up the sun on the huge deck located on Lake Sutherland. We get more sunshine on our deck than about 99% of lake! The way the sun sets leaves most of the lake in the shade...except for our deck! We get sunshine into the evenings! This is a duplex and the other side is also an Airbnb, so if you have more people coming, checkout the other listing and rent them both. This home is a short 5-minute drive from the Salt Creek Recreation Area which includes Crescent Beach (surf & sand), Striped Peak (hiking trails & views) & Tongue Point (excellent tide-pooling). Yet just a 20-minute drive from town in Port Angeles for easy shopping & dining.

(Beach access is only 2 mi away). We are nestled in the middle of the gateway to Olympic National Park, and everything this area has to offer. We are only 10 miles from Port Angeles. And, we know you will enjoy and love your stay, "By the Sea".

Explore the outdoors on the nearby Discovery Trail (0.08 miles). Visit Sol Duc Hot Springs, Olympic National Park, Lake Crescent, and La Push. Forks and Kalaloch are nearby. Enjoy entertainment on two TVs (1 Blu-ray, 1 Wi-Fi), 50 dvds available, but note there's no dishwasher, and Wi-Fi and cell service may be INTERMITTENT.

This hillside getaway was created from a culvert and planted into the side of a hill, nestled among trees and forest flora. Low voltage lighting, propane on demand hot water, cook top and heater. The view overlooks a pond, the valley below with Mt. Baldy in the background. An outdoor shower also has an awesome view! This countryside glamping site is near the ONP, Discovery trail, and Port Angeles.

The Hiker's Cabin serves as an ideal base for daily excursions to explore Olympic National Park and local beaches. Walk directly from the Hiker’s Cabin onto trails leading into the park!
